My cat has ring worm and needs a bath everyday for 2 weeks. As you can imagine this isn’t the easiest task to do.
He's also a Persian an needs drying an brushing after.

Any advice, or tips please.

I was wondering if there was anyone that grooms cat, that i could take him to, to be bath and brushed. I know that sounds really lazy but i just don’t have the time.. i work full time and have a little one too.

i got a kitten from a pet shop and it had ring worm and passed it on to my other two cats and me, they didnt have to be bathed every day for 2 weeks, we all had medicine from the vets and it completely cleared up within 2-3 weeks

It could be worse- the only other treatment for ringworm in cats involves giving them tablets for over 2 months. The pills are also toxic to humans, teratogenic if used around people trying for a baby (both the mother and the father!) and really pretty unpleasant things- and that's just from handling them.

Gemima grooms cats as well as dogs, but I'm pretty sure that your cat won't be allowed into contact with other animals because the ringworm is too infectious, so I think you're in for some hard work whether you like it or not.

well i went to doctors with mine cus i got red rings all over my arms and neck, and she gave me some tablets i think it was - but i dont know what they were called.

The medicine for the cats is called IgraFungol - oral solution. I recall giving it them one week on and one week off for about 2 months, its very infectious so if youve had contact with your cat which you will have you will need to be treated as well.

Does spot on prevent ring worm? This is what I use on Ruby, we couldn't be doing with bathing her everyday, i'd be clawed and bitten to death! If spot on doesn't prevent it doesn anyone know if there's anything available that will?

hi unless things have changed cats with ringworm are not allowed any cantact with other cats for several months the spores that are attached to the ringworm is highly contages and will infect other cats when i showed cats even people who had contact with cat with ringworm where not allowed to visit as spores can be carried on clothes ect i would hate it to affect youre grooming i hope i have not made you cross by contacting you i was only thinking of hepling sandra

hi lady saffron thats ok thats why i said for her to ring me for a chat,i was going to suggest she has a word with the vet as i'm sure there is better and easier ways to treat it,also to say wouldn't be able to help her at the moment untill it's gone, but would be able to in the future,it's a nightmare for both the cat and owner.

Itrafungol is great, see your vet and ask for it. Much easier than bathing.
