View Full Version : Craig Bellamy - worth £14 million?
Well it looks like west sham have sold craig bellendamy. Is there anyone like me that thinks he is well over priced. He is injury prone and been a troublecause at all the teams he has played at. Its just a shame he aint gone to leeds coz they would be made for each other.
Bellamy - Kaka different league and can't understand it to be truthful. Man City won't be worrying too about the money but it's crazy that they think he is worth that much. :loopy:
City paid well over the odds for a mardy git. West Ham will be laughing their heads off.
he`s caused problems at ewvery club he`s been at
It's a reasonable price considering it's Man City who have bought him. Every player that Man City buy will cost more than it would for any other club. Same happened with Chelski.
abbasinho 20-01-2009, 07:58 Bellamy's a player who has got a lot talent but he let it go to his head at Newcastle.
Take away the personality and you've still got a very good footballer, when he's fit.
Good luck to him, he's got his big money move and all the money he ever could wish for, let's see if he can get back to playing like he used to at Coventry and Norwich.

they said on talksport today he is on £90,000 a week at Man City. I think finally the world has gone mad

Ousetunes 22-01-2009, 13:17 If it's possible to find the end of a rainbow and to find that, indeed, there is a pot of gold, I predict that Craig Bellamy would get there before the rest of us.
Good luck to him, I say.
Whether you like him or not is not really relevant, is it?
Without his attitute, problems and fitness issues he could (should) have been one of the best players playing in the premiership....he has good pace, can score from anywhere and unlike a LOT of players getting hype he has the FINAL BALL after doing good work.
just a shame he will prob always fall into the 'wasted talent' category.
it's good business for west ham at that price...just a shame they wouldnt let lucas neil go as he is a liability to any defence.

I find myself in full agreement with you on this.
I can see him doing a good job there.

West Ham have won here- £14m for a nearly 30 yr old and pass his peak.. though Man C will not worry for the return on him, what's £14m when they were going to spend 10x as much in capturing Kaka.
Glad my club did not buy him- Spurs board probably would be counting what they would get for him when he came to be sold ..hence better to go for the Wigan player we just bought. At 24, if he excels and then peaks at 28, at least he can be sold for double the amount.
