Hi Watchcoll, thats very interesting to know....is it just a lunch time concern or are they open evenings too?

its a long time since i last lived there, but they were open from 11am -7pm.

they were bang in the town centre, and were always very busy, there is also a fairly large asain population there so they did well from that.

it was only a little cafe, reminded me of a school canteen actually, but the food was great and at the time it was a novel idea that really took off, took a lot of the office worker trade off some of the town centre greggs etc anyway

Hi

I just wanted to say that my friend told me about this place, but had never been, a couple of weeks ago so we decided to try it out. We called in at about 3pm and got a carton each to take away. There were four different curries: Lamb, chicken, lentil and spinach. We both had rice with the lamb and chicken and I had the lentil curry while my friend decided to try the spinach.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, it was very tasty and just the right amount. The only negative I have really was that I would have liked there to have been a bit more sauce because all the curries were a little dry but still very nice and tasty! My friend wasn't so keen on her spinach curry but I really enjoyed my lentils and the chicken and lamb were very tender!

I plan to take my boyfriend there to see what he thinks.

Called in today myself.

I liked it. The rice is lovely and the curries, while not the best I've ever had, are very nice. They could be a bit spicier, but they are fine as they are.

For £3.50, you can't go wrong and I'll certainly be popping back.

HI Singo,
thankyou for your kind comments....the observation about the curries not being spicy enough is one which has been made before....and the main reason for us not simply increasing the spice quantities is that , we are very conscious of it being a 'lunch' time curry with people having to return back to work for the rest of the afternoon, and not a full blown evening curry with a few drinks.
However due to yours and others comments it may be an idea to have 1 curry which is spicier as an option for those who....well have a more experienced palate...no matter what time of day it is !We have allready started to make a hot chili sauce for those who like things a little hotter!
As you can imagine with all the different strenghs of curries available to make a generic curry to satisfy all tastes is well nigh impossible.
Our aim is to be a quality meal for £ 3.50 so all criticisms are welcomed and appreaciated....if you dont tell us... we cant fix it !

What about just offering a spicy chilli tadka for people to stir in if they want to up the heat?
