can anyone whole heartedly recommend a decent garage in Sheffield for car repairs and welding? Having been ripped off by several places recently I have yet to find a decent garage with honest mechanics, quality welders and fair pricing.

Looking for a garage that specializes in older vehicles and classic cars, which offers QUALITY welding and not bodged crap!!! Somewhere which does not rip you off for work not done, who does not rip you off for work which should not have been done in the first place, and who basically, does a good days work for a fair price.

Any recommendations. Been bitten too often recently by cowboy **** artists and I am well and truly fed up.....

Where there is Corker Bottoms Lane on that map there is a pull-in/layby on the opposite side of the road. Head down there (be warned it's a little pot-holed) and keep to the left till you come to the garage.

Oh and as for being bitten - he's a decent chap which is surprising I know but do check him out. He sold a old Herbie type car and did what needed on it to pas the MOT after a while of being standing.

Failing that, I'm sure I saw an old Austin Healey at the Leader Road garage (Hillsborough way) about a year or maybe 18 months ago. They did a good job of servicing an old Saab, and I'd used them as they were highly recommended to me..

Just off Chesterfield Rd .. around or near Artisan View .. try that. You'll never take your car anywhere else.

Garage on Burton Street at Hillsborough, dead good service and very cheap - highly recommended!
