Anyone got an ideas for nice places to go for Sunday lunch? Not necessarily after traditional roast. All suggestions would be appreciated.

There's loads of threads on here regarding Sunday lunch . . . may be worthwhile using the search facility as some are recent. I've been to The Cricketers at Totley recently and it's pretty decent, but I think a little overpriced. I know many recommend The Milestone. If you're on a budget, Toby Carvery are decent for a fiver. You get what you pay for regarding meat quality, but at least they don't overcook the veg.

Personally, I drag (actually, I don't have to drag, they come willingly) the 2 little ones and OH to Noodle Inn or Wong Tings for dim sum on a Sunday. Truth is, I just don't think you can beat a Sunday dinner, traditional British style, cooked at home.

But then, the hassle, and shopping, the work, the POTS . . .

Sunday Roast for £10 and all locally sourced and prepared by chefs, not cooks!

You can also get two courses for £11.50 or three courses for £14.50 with the choice of toad in the hole as a starter .... very popular!

p.s. - and the kids eat free!

Artisan do a nice Sunday lunch and when we went a few weeks ago it was £16 for 3 courses which I consider dirt cheap!! I would also second the Milestone.
