I've been to The Cricketers at Totley recently and it's pretty decent, but I think a little overpriced. I know many recommend The Milestone. If you're on a budget, Toby Carvery are decent for a fiver. You get what you pay for regarding meat quality, but at least they don't overcook the veg. Personally, I drag (actually, I don't have to drag, they come willingly) the 2 little ones and OH to Noodle Inn or Wong Tings for dim sum on a Sunday. Truth is, I just don't think you can beat a Sunday dinner, traditional British style, cooked at home. But then, the hassle, and shopping, the work, the POTS . . . You can also get two courses for £11.50 or three courses for £14.50 with the choice of toad in the hole as a starter .... very popular! p.s. - and the kids eat free! mickybo7 22-01-2009, 13:15 castle inn bradway good sunday lunch you have got to try the cauliflower cheese good value £5.95 neeeeeeeeeek 22-01-2009, 13:43 The Stag on Psalter Lane is good. medicgirl 22-01-2009, 14:20 Artisan do a nice Sunday lunch and when we went a few weeks ago it was £16 for 3 courses which I consider dirt cheap!! I would also second the Milestone. |
