just asking if anyone has been to china to check out any trade show on new products on the market am trying to get as much information as possible to buy from there ive heard quite good reports from some people but looking into it more.am looking at buying direct from manufactors cutting out all middle men can anyone advice (products as in anything from toys to clothes)
no chemicals sorry.

I also work in imports. Furniture for me.
What do you bring two bring in mainly. My problem is not china, it's getting buyers. Never used to be a problem. But in the current climate its getting more difficult
It usually requires a large start up capital to start importing. Goods have to be paid for anything from 30% to 100% before shipment, which then takes 4-6 weeks to arrive. The remaining payment is usually before arrival and there are also import duties, VAT and shipping agents to pay as well.
If you are wholesaling then margins tend to be relatively low and your customers will often want 60 days to pay you.
That said I have several clients importing from China that make good profits.
