When you need cheering up - Which movie do you watch?

Although not particularly a movie, I tend to watch either Peter Kay (Live) or Pheonix nights. Failing that, Fawlty Towers, Dad's Army or Friends

Schindlers List. Loads of nudity.

Schindlers List but not for the above reason.
I watch get all upset about what the jewish people went through and then I realise how lucky we are and I feel cheered up.

Otherwise it would be The Royle Family especially the one where they are stripping the walls.

Cheering up it's a good old chick flick... Pretty woman, When Harry met Sally, Four weddings seems to always cheer me up and the "don't you think I know my own brother? ":hihi:still makes me laugh. I used to add Grease to that list but i've not felt the urge to watch it at all in recent times.

Or a film that you've watched a million times like Die Hard, High Fidelity, Indy or Back to the Future.

Depends on the type of cheering up really. The chick flicks don't tend to work if it's lamenting about being a sad singleton as they all have happy lovey dovey endings! :rolleyes:

I think, for that reason, About a boy is such a good film as things go wrong, things aren't perfect in the end but they just get on with it.

Shaun of the deads a good'n but films don't usually affect my mood too dramatically anyway so it's pretty pointless. I usually just stick on a bit of peepshow and wallow in my pit of self loathing :D...

Drop Dead Fred always makes me laugh, and Run Fatboy Run as well. If it's just a tv programme I tend to watch Live at the Apollo - i'd be dissapointed if it didn't make me laugh!!

When I need cheering up I tend to bury my head in a book rather than watch a film but if I had to pick one then it'd be Kelly's Heroes. Woof woof woof!

A guilty pleasure - The South Park Movie. Or a Disney. I'm a sucker for a happy ending (but not Bambi, or The Fox And The Hound *sob*)

Schindler's List :hihi::hihi:

Any of the Naked Gun Films, Hot Shots etc... Although if you want a really good laugh, stick on a Bollywood film - you'll be creased up laughing before you know it :hihi::hihi::hihi:

The Dish. Fantastic Australian film about the role of the Parkes radio telescope in the 1969 moon landing. It's not overly-concerned about sticking to the facts, but it is very funny.

I don't tend to watch movies that much. I'd usually go for one of my stand up comedy DVDs if there was nothing on telly.
