Hi Natalie

Sorry it has taken time to respond I have only recently returned to the UK.
Your Dad lived opposite us on the Mauncer, I was younger than him, nearer Raymond in age.

When we all playing out in the summer on the Crescent I remember him singing a fine rendition of 'Cigareets & Whisky & Wild, Wild Women' (couldn't tell you who did the original!) while he was getting ready to go out on a Saturday night. Great sense of humour. His father - also Ernest was a committee member at the Central Club ruled the family with an iron fist, his Mom was a lovely lady - very timid.

I know Gail who is still in SA, and from time to time see Raymond the younger brother - he's a nice guy.

Nice man your Dad, be proud.
