why is it that you can not buy the early issues of the now collection, i am missing from 8 to 18 on cd but nowhere sells them, i know that now 1 has just been released on cd for the first time to celebrate 25 years of now albums, but i have found it impossible to buy the original cd versions of 8 to 18, many people have told me that they have got them, only to descover that they were rip off copies which i will not accept, if anyone can help me in my quest to find the missing 10 cd's, i am sure we could find a mutual financial agreement, cheers all for looking.

Yeh, I was going to suggest Ebay. You'll not find anything but a new release in HMV etc. You could also try a Wanted ad in an Ad Mag.

It's to do with Licensing issues. They have to be deleted after three years. There is something in this month's Q re this. pg 14/15 and there's a where are they now article on the artists on the first album.
I didn't get the first one. Aged 12, I saw more longevity in the Raiders of the Pop charts albums (they made 2 :hihi:)

HMV have a large back catalogue of old CD's, but only if it hasn't been deleted by the record company.
For something that has been deleted you need to try record fairs, record collector shops, or nowadays more likely EBay.
I've got Raiders of the Pop Charts - superb LPs :D
The Now albums weren't even available on CD at first - and the first ones didn't have all the tracks on that the vinyl and tape versions did. The original CDs are very, very collectable though - you'll pay top dollar prices right up to around Vol 20 or so.
Though I cheekily nabbed a few for a giveaway price from someone who didn't realise they were worth that much - you'll just have to trawl the charidee shops and flea markets like I do for this kind of stuff if you want bargains
Ace article about them on the TV Cream website:
