Looking for a folk club or local guest evening in the Hillsborough area? Hillsborough Folk Club at the Burton Street Foundation is a new club every Tuesday at 8pm. The Holly Bush on Rivelin has a great Thursday night Folk in Concert evening which starts at 8.30pm with a short floor singers section followed by different guest singers each week. syfolk.co.uk

I've been a few times and it's always a really good night, some excellent players there, very individual and talented. It's great that local people can hear folk music without having to go into town. I even won a CD in the raffle the last time I went and I never usually win anything!
