Its mad on the roads tonight and will be for a while anyway - but its all for the good. They are finally sorting out the road surface around St Mary's Roundabout and will move up to Safeway's Roundabout shortly. Small price to pay for sommit good coming out of it. Best bit is that they are digging deep into the ground, so its not only gonna be a smooth surface but a long-lasting one at that. Who can i send a thank you letter to?

Yep, I witnessed this in action the other night at 10pm ish. The roadworks (or should I say cones) were causing a rather long traffic jam on Hanover way. Fortunately I was travelling in the opposite direction, which was clear of any traffic/delays/cones :D

But yet, they chose the Christmas Period :rolleyes:

Does anyone know if it is a "trunk road"? If I remember correctly motorways and trunk roads are kept up by the Highways Agency rather than the local Council.
A long overdue improvement whatever.

I'm guessing that it must be classed as a trunk road - as it was a sight to see a motorway maintenance vehicle moving down safeway end of eccy rd from hunters bar - at about 5 mph the other day. I thought it was a little odd, seeing as the vehicles are either on the M Ways or in the various depots off the junctions.
