hi i've just moved here for work and have digs in Pittsmore. i would like to bring my guitar soon and possibly find the local haunt to watch local bands and or somewhere to watch and join in with other, not quite there yet rockers,lol. Any help greatly appreciated.

Sure - try the Horse and Jockey in Hillsborough - not sure what nights but they have or are planning (as they have just re-opened under new managment) midweek Jam nights.
