It's on tonight, probably the best comedy since The Royal Family.
I have never seen it repeated yet.
I think it is on BBC3 at 9.30pm.

Yeh , but are you going to watch it?

I have dvds of films , but I still like to watch them on TV,I don't know why.

I think it harps back to the days when we just had three channels every one used ti talk about the best program next day at school or work. No one ever seems to watch the same program any more.

I don't know why such a good comedy stopped so soon.
I suppose the writer moved on to something else whilst it was still popular.

Forgot how the music is so brilliant in it as well. Smiths, Stone Roses, not bad for a little back street boozer.

And Nanna and Winnie. :hihi:

And how Ken keeps falling over the dodgy booze and fags. lol!

On again next Tues. Remind me someone as i'll forget. I do like watching it on't telly.

Absolutely brilliant. I've got it on dvd and do watch it fairly regularly - so probably won't go out of my way to watch it on the telly - but if it's on, and I'm in, I will.

:)

My bloody virgin TV kept 'stalling' every ten seconds or so, it spoilt the show .
I tried chaging chanels ,then back again I even re-booted, missing 5 mins of the program. Does any one know what this is , and how to cure it?

Yeah, mine needed the box changing. Is it the V+ box? If so, the engineer told me its a common problem - they replace it with no questions but obviously you lose anything stored on the hard drive.

I'd had mine about 2 yrs.

It reminds me of when pubs were pubs filled with characters, when you could smoke (I don't, but smoke was literally, part of the atmosphere) and when you could depend on the same old faces being there, day in, day out.

This is a true comedy classic and I too own it on DVD. A third series has not been ruled out, apparently.

Another fan here. Although I've got the DVDs it's good to see it back on TV.

Didn't they show that godawful "comedy" The High Life at 9?

It's a PACE active digital Telewest box . I don't understand exactly what you mean by having anything stored on hard drive.
Any way I need to get it sorted before next week.

Sorry, it's not the same kind I don't think. I'm talking about the Virgin version of Sky+, where you record things onto the box's hard drive.

However, I think your box is quite old now, surely, if they want to keep you as a customer, they'd replace it free of charge? Otherwise you could go to Sky for a better offer? I'd deffo try it.

For those who own it on DVD, have you ever been sad enough to watch it with Craig and Phil's commentary? It's hilarious!

I also remember watching this in between series of Dinnerladies and not realising that Debbie was Twinkle! (Maxine Peake) as she'd lost so much weight!

The irony is obviously lost on Nationwide because the character that Benton plays is absolutely an accurate portrayal of the member of staff I faced when trying to re-mortgage with Nationwide some years back.

On the brink of coming out of a fixed-rate period, my payments were to increase by quite a few quid. Asking whether we could borrow more and over an extended period - which would have seen our monthly payment increase by about a tenner - he said he could not grant our wishes due to 'our not being able to afford the repayments'.

ie - Go onto their variable rate at (say) £60 per month extra but not borrow a few quid more at a rate of £10 extra a month.

I walked into Lloyds TSB who appreciated my custom.

All banks as far as I have knowledge of are: money grabbing, dirty cheating disloyal scumbags whom would sell their own mother down, just to make a profit. Thats just my opinion.
hey this was about a comedy show::)

I really like Early Doors.

They were supposed to be doing a third series but it was never made, which is a shame.

Maybe they should go back to it like they did with The Royle Family.

Why the Beeb never put it on BBC 1 is beyond me, if they did, now; they would get a far bigger following.

Brilliant show - I've only ever seen a few episodes, but I've set the magic box to record all of them (though I might have missed the very first) so I'll really be able to get into it.

Eee it was good.
Apparently they were talking about it today on the Ken Bruce show Radio 2, with the classic line from the two coppers, Phil and Nige. 'Comet on the high street was broke into last night' Landlord Ken 'was there much stolen?'
'No, well not till we got there'.
