View Full Version : Bingo. Not exactly attractive, is it? metaphoria 13-01-2009, 03:48 Disagree with me if I'm wrong. I must say in all the time I worked in real bingo halls, no one every came in bikinis. (probably just as well, especially the afternoon sessions:shocked:) metaphoria 13-01-2009, 03:54 :hihi: It's quite an odd advert. For a few years. :hihi: metaphoria 13-01-2009, 04:10 Yep. For a few years. :hihi: What was that like? *_ash_* 13-01-2009, 04:14 What was that like? I loved it. It's not like people think. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were packed, mainly young people to mid 40's. Afternoons was all old dears. The hours and the pay wasn't good enough though, otherwise I probably would still be there. Like many places that I've worked, management was easily on the cards, I just never fancied their work. What do you think they're like in there meta? metaphoria 13-01-2009, 04:20 I loved it. It's not like people think. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were packed, mainly young people to mid 40's. I don't know, but a colleague asked me to go a couple of years ago, and I declined to go to 'Mecca'. I imagine it to be a room full of potentially histerical people, which I find a little scary. *_ash_* 13-01-2009, 04:25 I don't know, but a colleague asked me to go a couple of years ago, and I declined to go to 'Mecca'. I imagine it to be a room full of potentially histerical people, which I find a little scary. I used to go quite a bit after I left. Though there is only one place in Sheffield that I know I can get into. Haven't been since the smoking ban though. The last time I went to the Mecca one, I was asked for my membership card by a 'suit', and he kept it and asked me to leave. :hihi: metaphoria 13-01-2009, 04:40 I used to go quite a bit after I left. He must be like some demi-god of the Mecca hall, innit? *_ash_* 13-01-2009, 04:50 A 'suit'. He must be like some demi-god of the Mecca hall, innit? whatever. ;):hihi: I would have called him a ****** personally. A few years ago, my housemate wanted to play, so I had to take her to a Rotherham one (not Mecca) as at the time I couldn't go in any of the Sheffield ones, and within 3 minutes of walking in, I had the suits on my back again. They asked me to leave.. I told them I was on date, and they let me stay. (with restrictions:rolleyes:) We won £200 quid on a full house.. not only did I rub it in their faces, but my other housemates soon changed their attitude when we got home, after calling us saddos. :hihi: mojo1 13-01-2009, 04:54 Yep. You need to see 'that Peter Kay thing' one of the episodes is absolutely class. Not sure if so, without experiencing them though. I saw loads of callers just like the one in the episode. metaphoria 13-01-2009, 05:00 Can I just interrupt to say HAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEEEEHEHHEEEHAHAHAHA:hihi::hihi: and no, not pretty! "It's fut' warden", was funny a few times, but please not Christmas songs in drag. *_ash_* 13-01-2009, 05:11 Oh no. Peter Kay is too much 5 years ago for me. But nah, it's not stand up this. It's taking the pee out of saddos. The fire one was good too. I've met people just like that. metaphoria 13-01-2009, 05:15 I know what you mean.
