I loved it. It's not like people think. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were packed, mainly young people to mid 40's.

Afternoons was all old dears.

The hours and the pay wasn't good enough though, otherwise I probably would still be there. Like many places that I've worked, management was easily on the cards, I just never fancied their work.

What do you think they're like in there meta?

I don't know, but a colleague asked me to go a couple of years ago, and I declined to go to 'Mecca'.

I imagine it to be a room full of potentially histerical people, which I find a little scary.

I used to go quite a bit after I left. Though there is only one place in Sheffield that I know I can get into. Haven't been since the smoking ban though.

I would have called him a ****** personally.

A few years ago, my housemate wanted to play, so I had to take her to a Rotherham one (not Mecca) as at the time I couldn't go in any of the Sheffield ones, and within 3 minutes of walking in, I had the suits on my back again. They asked me to leave.. I told them I was on date, and they let me stay. (with restrictions:rolleyes:)

We won £200 quid on a full house.. not only did I rub it in their faces, but my other housemates soon changed their attitude when we got home, after calling us saddos. :hihi:

You need to see 'that Peter Kay thing' one of the episodes is absolutely class. Not sure if so, without experiencing them though.

I saw loads of callers just like the one in the episode.
