Nigel Adkins has insisted there is no truth in reports linking Joe Murphy with a move to Sheffield United.
Speculation over the weekend suggested that the Blades were considering a swoop for the Scunthorpe goalkeeper during the transfer window.
Murphy's contract expires at the end of the summer but Adkins has rubbished talk of a possible exit.
He maintains there has been no approach from Sheffield United and is confident of keeping the 27-year-old.
Adkins told the club's official website: "We have had no contact whatsoever from Sheffield United and neither have they been in touch with Joe's agent. End of story.
"Again I am being asked to comment on an article that has appeared in a newspaper.
"Anyone can put anything in a newspaper or on a message board somewhere.
"It has been shown that of all these stories that appear, only about eight per cent are true."
