Hello :-)
I'm moving to the Hillsborough/Middlewood/Walkley in the next couple of months from South Sheffield and am currently looking at rental properties, I have a 7 year old and no clue about the schools in these areas, which obviously could have a bearing on where we move to. Any advice or opinions on the schools in these areas would be much appreciated. Also which secondary schools to these primary schools feed into?
Cheers for any help in advance :-)

Have you looked at the Council website
http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/education/our-schools
2008 league tables are not out yet due to the marking fiasco.
If you have a house in mind (don't know if you are buying or renting) then follow links in rightmove.co.uk which gives you information on the area and nearesst school.

Cheers hun :-) I will check out Rightmove, that's pretty useful :D
I was also looking for more personal opinions on the schools, things that the league tables don't necessarily show :-)

Colleagues daughter attends Rivelin and loves it. They are impressed and would recommend it. A mate also did some teacher training there and was very impressed also. She was very disappointed she didn't get a permanent job there. She does now work at Malin Bridge but I haven't spoken to her for a while so can't comment on that school.
Hope this helps.
