I've never liked Ray at all and that's the one thing that's spoiling this years show for me. I will say he was good though, as much as I hate to admit it.

Ray's young and enthusiastic is all - I think for week one he was superb, but I hope there is a little more competition in it than there is so far. Looking forward to seeing the girls next week as it looks like they're hotting up for a good show.

I just knew Todd would get through on sympathy, but, bless him, he did well to just stay stood up! My heart was in my mouth when he did his axel.....

It was pure, pure class!!! I'm glad he's still in for entertainment value, even if he got voted out, they should still have him on skating each week anyway!

that was the funniest thing i've seen in ages, my dad was actually crying with laughter lol. i think were going to have another john sargeant situation with todd here, people voting to keep him in purely for the comedy value, he'll certainly be getting my vote :hihi::hihi::hihi:

I liked Todd on this. It was like Frank Spencer on ice. There was definately a Spenceresque quality to his performance. Long may he last.

So he lives another day! How has Todd managed to get through again. Mind you none of them were exactly that brilliant.

In the dance off I actually preferred Michael to Melinda, thought he looked much better.

Glad it's not just me who doesn't like the smug, smarmy, conceited little scouser. Bet he's been having secret ice skating lessons. Didn't like him in X Factor, and nothing's changed my opinion since then. Just wsh he'd go A over T.
Wouldn't it be fairer to have all the celeb skaters at the same skill level, then you'd see which had improved the most.

So Todd has finally had his last skate.

Maybe if he had done something at the very beginning of the skating instead of standing there like a lemon it might have added more weight.

Sorry but that is where I have to disagree. Ray has an unfair advantage over all the other contestants in that he was a proficient roller skater and therefore already had balance and wasn't therefore scared of the ice or the skates. Whereas a lot of the other contestants had never been on skates before never mind ice and they have had to get over their fear plus learn to stand on ice and learn to skate as well as everything else.

Unfortunately I do feel that because Ray does stand out from the crowd it's like watching two programmes - one of Ray and the other with the true competitors.

I feel that it is a foregone conclusion that Ray will win the competiton because he is so much ahead of the rest of them - there is no competition. It is the rest of the contestants that are really competing against one another.

I feel this year has got a little spoiled due to Ray being as advanced as he is, but that's just my opinion!

Roller Skating and ice skating are two different things though!! It's like last years arguement that Chris Fountain had an unfair advantage because he was an ice hockey skater - yet the blades are totally different on the skates.

Just because someone has confidence does not mean that they've suddenly got an unfair advantage! Yes he is better, yes he is a trained (successful) dancer, but to do all that on ICE is totally different. The balance has to be in a place, your eyes have to look in a different direction and your posture has to be different again! As for fear of the ice... I'm sure we've all slipped at some point this week and that's frightening enough without going pretty fast and holding someone in the air whilst spinning!!

I agree that Ray is more advanced than the others but he is lacking in entertainment value everyone loves a tryer and he doesnt need to try, I think Zoe is much more graceful and tries hard every week, I think the underdogs will win thro, I hope so anyway.

Chris Fountain was easily the best technical skater last year and he didn't win.

Well, surprise! surprise! ...... not! As predicted Ray Quinn has won Dancing on Ice. I am pleased that Donal got through to the final. He had certainly come along in
leaps and bounds and did actually deserve to win.

I do feel that Ray Quinn did take a bit of the entertainment and edge of the seat atmosphere out of this year's dancing on ice. To my mind he did actually spoil it by being too good right from the start. Hopefully next year they will actually having novices competing against one another so that it will actually be a "competition" and not just a one horse race!

What a farce....Ray 'i've never skated before' Quinn...B****cks!!! Even one of his old mates said that he used to skate as a kid! and those judges!!!! jeeez...Ruthie 'i love Zoe Salmon' Henshall and old Skeletor in the middle...get them some skates on for a change!! :rant:
