Mister M 11-01-2009, 22:53 Can't believe Todd has got through!! Perhaps he will be to Dancing on Ice 2009 what Aggie was to Dacing on Ice 2008. The one that everyone votes for out of sympathy!! You have got to give him a chance it is only week 1, at least they are not all show off's like Ray:gag: Mister M 11-01-2009, 22:58 You have got to give him a chance it is only week 1, at least they are not all show off's like Ray:gag: Quite true..... Ray is very smug!! JayneRay 11-01-2009, 22:58 Ray was great Can't wait for girls next week I really like Colleen Nolan rainbow sky 11-01-2009, 23:01 I know Ray was good but just didn't like his manner, it was like he knew he was better than the rest, only time will tell if he faces any competition. shells2909 12-01-2009, 00:14 I missed the skate off, who went??? lynblu 12-01-2009, 00:34 I missed the skate off, who went??? Graham Le Saux shells2909 12-01-2009, 00:38 Thanks  Zimily 12-01-2009, 07:41 I know Ray was good but just didn't like his manner, it was like he knew he was better than the rest, only time will tell if he faces any competition. He will surely. I think some of the girls are going to be good. I've never liked Ray at all and that's the one thing that's spoiling this years show for me. I will say he was good though, as much as I hate to admit it. KTHFB 12-01-2009, 08:56 Ray's young and enthusiastic is all - I think for week one he was superb, but I hope there is a little more competition in it than there is so far. Looking forward to seeing the girls next week as it looks like they're hotting up for a good show. I just knew Todd would get through on sympathy, but, bless him, he did well to just stay stood up! My heart was in my mouth when he did his axel..... Billy Casper 12-01-2009, 09:54 Grrrr....That Ray Quim is such a cheesy tart! Personally i hope he falls down and rips a great big ladder in his tights!!! Rich 12-01-2009, 11:11 I'll be watching next week, just to see Jo Sugden off Emmerdale in an ice skating dress  Billy Casper 12-01-2009, 11:24 I'll be watching next week, just to see Jo Sugden off Emmerdale in an ice skating dress  Yes Rich...the line up does look quite good in the female department  Mmmmm....Fraser Hines in an ice skating dress!!! :hihi::hihi::hihi: (Only kidding mate....I know who you mean and it's not THAT Joe Sugden!) :hihi: rainbow sky 12-01-2009, 15:36 Just watched "this morning" and they were interviewing Jason ( judge ) apparently he got into trouble with his bosses for saying to Todd that he "looked like he had cr**ped in his pants, ha ha serves him right, lol. Zimily 12-01-2009, 20:24 Just watched "this morning" and they were interviewing Jason ( judge ) apparently he got into trouble with his bosses for saying to Todd that he "looked like he had cr**ped in his pants, ha ha serves him right, lol. Yeah I saw that. haha. Phil was giving him a hard time too. Though I kinda like Jason cressida 14-01-2009, 14:03 Never saw Ray Quinn on the other show but he was head and shoulders above the other men, quite disappointed Kristina had to go out early again with Graeme. Looking forward to seeing Coleen - now I know why she had to lose weight Rich 14-01-2009, 14:06 Just watched "this morning" and they were interviewing Jason ( judge ) apparently he got into trouble with his bosses for saying to Todd that he "looked like he had cr**ped in his pants, ha ha serves him right, lol. That Jason's an annoying up his own arse pleb IMO, like Craig on Strictly. Suffragette1 14-01-2009, 18:53 That Jason's an annoying up his own arse pleb IMO, like Craig on Strictly. Yes, he's supposed to be, they deliberately ensure that they have a Simon Cowell-like character on the panel on all these shows. Actually, I like Jason, he's just honest, far better than that simpering Ruthie.:gag: Zimily 18-01-2009, 22:41 So what did people think of the women? I thought a couple of them got lower scores than they deserved... pattricia 18-01-2009, 23:22 So what did people think of the women? I thought a couple of them got lower scores than they deserved... Todd Carty looks as though he can hardly stand up on the ice. How did the Nolan sister get voted in ? Zimily 19-01-2009, 00:01 Both of them got the sympathy vote I guess. I did feel sorry for Gemma tonight as she was so gutted to be leaving. pattricia 19-01-2009, 00:10 Both of them got the sympathy vote I guess. I did feel sorry for Gemma tonight as she was so gutted to be leaving. She shouldnt have said she wanted to win should she ? laineyiow 19-01-2009, 01:23 Err......... I voted for Coleen!!! Yep, she got my vote because I like her and I thought she deserved another chance. Next week I think the dance off could be between her and Todd! Zimily 19-01-2009, 09:40 She shouldnt have said she wanted to win should she ? Did she say that? I missed that bit. See I think I'd be the same if I was on the show because I love it I'd be so so so gutted to be going out the first week. rainbow sky 26-01-2009, 10:31 Well what did everyone think of Todd's performance last night, I haven't laughed so much for ages, I actually thought at one point that it was planned, his face throughout was a picture. Good on him, thoroughly entertaining, lol. For those who missed it, here he is last night- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TLIMOvAksRg HarmOKnee 26-01-2009, 12:32 Well what did everyone think of Todd's performance last night, I haven't laughed so much for ages, I actually thought at one point that it was planned, his face throughout was a picture. Good on him, thoroughly entertaining, lol. For those who missed it, here he is last night- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TLIMOvAksRg Oh I nearly peed myself laughing! I bet he couldnt have done that again if he was in the skate off! :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi: KTHFB 26-01-2009, 13:44 It was pure, pure class!!! I'm glad he's still in for entertainment value, even if he got voted out, they should still have him on skating each week anyway! Not sure if Ray may be peaking too soon, will they be able to do much more with him? By the way, I think he's excellent. marcgoddard 28-01-2009, 13:08 Well what did everyone think of Todd's performance last night, I haven't laughed so much for ages, I actually thought at one point that it was planned, his face throughout was a picture. Good on him, thoroughly entertaining, lol. For those who missed it, here he is last night- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TLIMOvAksRg that was the funniest thing i've seen in ages, my dad was actually crying with laughter lol. i think were going to have another john sargeant situation with todd here, people voting to keep him in purely for the comedy value, he'll certainly be getting my vote :hihi::hihi::hihi: slimsid2000 31-01-2009, 16:56 I liked Todd on this. It was like Frank Spencer on ice. There was definately a Spenceresque quality to his performance. Long may he last. laineyiow 01-02-2009, 23:16 So he lives another day! How has Todd managed to get through again. Mind you none of them were exactly that brilliant. In the dance off I actually preferred Michael to Melinda, thought he looked much better. Can't stand Ray - to me he is far too arrogant! rainbow sky 02-02-2009, 00:55 Can't stand Ray - to me he is far too arrogant! My thoughts exactly, was quite pleased when he had his little stumble, that took the smile off his face, lol. I also thought Michael was better than Melinda tonight. Breese 02-02-2009, 22:38 Liked Melinda but didnt think she was any better than Micheal thought Todd did better but should he stay in over the others. I think so. Rich 02-02-2009, 23:00 I think I've actually met Melinda Messenger, way back when she first got famous... She opened a computer games shop in Nottingham about 14 years ago :D pitsmoorlad 03-02-2009, 07:48 Glad it's not just me who doesn't like the smug, smarmy, conceited little scouser. Bet he's been having secret ice skating lessons. Didn't like him in X Factor, and nothing's changed my opinion since then. Just wsh he'd go A over T. Wouldn't it be fairer to have all the celeb skaters at the same skill level, then you'd see which had improved the most. laineyiow 08-02-2009, 23:06 So Todd has finally had his last skate. Maybe if he had done something at the very beginning of the skating instead of standing there like a lemon it might have added more weight. Thought Jason was a bit cruel to Roxy - thought she had done really well this week. And I still love Coleen!! Rich 08-02-2009, 23:11 Nooo! How can anyone be mean to Roxy? She's lovely! But, I don't like that Jason bloke anyway, he's an annoying pleb who's trying too hard to be the ice skating equivalent of Simon Cowell! S8 Blade 08-02-2009, 23:11 Todd had to go at some point, there was only so long he could get away with being useless at skating!!! I was really impressed with Roxy's skating, I thought she did really, really well and Jason is always so horrid to her!! I think Ellery will be the next to go, he's just not quite got the skating confidence he needs. Ray may seem like a big head to you, sadly he's just a very, very talented young lad! Shame more of us haven't got the talent he has. Good luck to him! pattricia 08-02-2009, 23:24 Just came on this thread to see who went out tonight. Saw the first part , but was watching the BAFTAS when the votes came in . laineyiow 08-02-2009, 23:47 Ray may seem like a big head to you, sadly he's just a very, very talented young lad! Shame more of us haven't got the talent he has. Good luck to him! Sorry but that is where I have to disagree. Ray has an unfair advantage over all the other contestants in that he was a proficient roller skater and therefore already had balance and wasn't therefore scared of the ice or the skates. Whereas a lot of the other contestants had never been on skates before never mind ice and they have had to get over their fear plus learn to stand on ice and learn to skate as well as everything else. Unfortunately I do feel that because Ray does stand out from the crowd it's like watching two programmes - one of Ray and the other with the true competitors. I feel that it is a foregone conclusion that Ray will win the competiton because he is so much ahead of the rest of them - there is no competition. It is the rest of the contestants that are really competing against one another. I feel this year has got a little spoiled due to Ray being as advanced as he is, but that's just my opinion! S8 Blade 09-02-2009, 00:14 Roller Skating and ice skating are two different things though!! It's like last years arguement that Chris Fountain had an unfair advantage because he was an ice hockey skater - yet the blades are totally different on the skates. Just because someone has confidence does not mean that they've suddenly got an unfair advantage! Yes he is better, yes he is a trained (successful) dancer, but to do all that on ICE is totally different. The balance has to be in a place, your eyes have to look in a different direction and your posture has to be different again! As for fear of the ice... I'm sure we've all slipped at some point this week and that's frightening enough without going pretty fast and holding someone in the air whilst spinning!! Breese 09-02-2009, 22:53 I agree that Ray is more advanced than the others but he is lacking in entertainment value everyone loves a tryer and he doesnt need to try, I think Zoe is much more graceful and tries hard every week, I think the underdogs will win thro, I hope so anyway. the_rudeboy 09-02-2009, 23:43 I feel that it is a foregone conclusion that Ray will win the competiton because he is so much ahead of the rest of them - there is no competition. It is the rest of the contestants that are really competing against one another. Chris Fountain was easily the best technical skater last year and he didn't win. laineyiow 22-03-2009, 23:11 Well, surprise! surprise! ...... not! As predicted Ray Quinn has won Dancing on Ice. I am pleased that Donal got through to the final. He had certainly come along in leaps and bounds and did actually deserve to win. I do feel that Ray Quinn did take a bit of the entertainment and edge of the seat atmosphere out of this year's dancing on ice. To my mind he did actually spoil it by being too good right from the start. Hopefully next year they will actually having novices competing against one another so that it will actually be a "competition" and not just a one horse race! Billy Casper 22-03-2009, 23:20 What a farce....Ray 'i've never skated before' Quinn...B****cks!!! Even one of his old mates said that he used to skate as a kid! and those judges!!!! jeeez...Ruthie 'i love Zoe Salmon' Henshall and old Skeletor in the middle...get them some skates on for a change!! |
