Hi all

I have just purchased the above camcorder, and wish to use it to take still pictures aswell as video. The bundled software allows me to stream video via USB but it doesnt allow me to select the stills.

What I want to do is use the photo option take some still images and then transfer them to the PC as single images not a movie, the bundled software only allows the transfer of movies as far as I can see so if i take a bunch of pictures it downloads them to the PC as a kind of slide show not single pictures I can send via email etc..

The software would allow me transfer the images if the camcorder had a memory stick which it doesnt the next one up does.

Any camcorder experts out there help me out with this one I seem to have the ability to take digital photo's but not store them as individual pictures on the pc.

HI,
I can not find anywhere in the specs that says this camcorder will take single shots.If your manual says you can, check the model number as manufacturers willl sometimes give instructions for a few similar models in one book.
If as you say pictures are downloaded as a screen saver,it should be possible to freeze the frames and copy them.Right click>save as,or print screen button.Don't know what the quality would be like though.
