Im a Blade, but when did we last beat Wednesday? We might have the bigger crowds at the moment, but to be honest I dont think we are the bigger club, and there's not a million miles difference on the pitch.

yes it is a load of **** but I don't think theres much difference in the quality of play this season. I actually don't think we will get much in Feb a draw at the most. We don't seem to be able to play well when we play them, over the past few matches against them I think passion as out faught quality and from wednesdays point of view people expect us to beat them which REALLY dosent help us.

As for bigger attendences, yes we have better, but overall I think there are more wednesday "fans" then our lot.

I do think some of our fans are unrealistic.

i'm sure when wednesday we're in the premiership utd fans would still say they were the bigger club, thats fans for you. as for size of club we are about equal to be fair, utd have been the better run over the past few years though and have a stronger squad but the wednesday team over the past 3 derbys anyway seem to have more fight/passion in the team, maybe in part because the squad is so small

United should be better than wednesday to say the amount of money there players are worth compared to wednesday sqaud plus you have strength in depth. You keep going on about these free season tickets, but surely that is good marketing we also make on the parents season ticket the kids want programmes, shirts, drinks sweets etc, so who are the dumb asses surely not Sheffield United and there are not thousands and thousands of freebies we actually sold just over 2000 of those packages so that brought in as extra 2000 fans but at approximately £350 a ticket that works out at approx £750000 extra income per season, and in a few years time when these kids or 16 they will be still wanting to come, thats what I call building for the future not stupidity, your team/club could do a lot worse than sending a representative to Bramall Lane for a course in marketing

think you'll find billy that most owls on here have slated the ticketing and questioned why we dont do the same. it will be interesting to see if the attendances will stay the same or drop if utd dont go up and cant offer the same reductions. it will also be interesting to see if the stay away oels fans come back with reduced ticketing and a better feeling around the club
