View Full Version : Favorite cheesy film
I like all the new (ish) movies, like the matrix revolutions, the fellowship of the ring, T3 the rise ofthe machines, there full of great special effects, but i love the older classic cheesy films also. I love GREASE its very cheesy i know but i watch it everytime it on tv, i was 8 when i first saw it at the pics. And ive loved olivia newton-john in those leather trousers since:
what yours?
Starship Troopers. Its just plain fun.
cobaltblue 12-06-2005, 16:58 Favourite all time cheesy film has got to be Flash Gordon with Sam J Jones as Flash, Brian Blessed as the leader of the Hawkmen, Max Von Sydow - Ming the Merciless, Timothy Dalton, Topol etc!!!
Awww I love that film!!! And the soundtrack is awesome ... fave line "Flash I love you....but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!!" :D Flash ooOOoo... he will save everyone of us!!
Birth-Peace 12-06-2005, 19:32 Favourite cheesy film is Idle Hands. It is fabulous.
Corvette Summer with Mark Hamill (yes, THAT Mark Hamill. The one from Star Wars) and Annie Potts.
It involves a stolen Corvette, Trans Ams, bad guys, and Las Vegas.
Certainly not Oscar material, but a good movie to waste a rainy afternoon.

spyro2000 12-06-2005, 19:51 Duel starring Dennis Weaver, absolutely love it.
Easy! . . it's 'Top Gun'.
Iceman: You two really are cowboys.
Maverick: What's your problem, Kazanski?
Iceman: You're everyone's problem. That's because every time you go up in the air, you're unsafe. I don't like you because you're dangerous.
Maverick: That's right! Ice... man. I am dangerous.
Carole: Hey Goose you big stud!
Goose: That's me, honey.
Carole: Take me to bed or lose me forever.
Goose: Show me the way home, honey.

Little Shop of Horrors anyone ?
bensonhedges 13-06-2005, 06:25 Has to be The Rocky Horror Picture Show - made from pure gorgonzola!! I have seen it 300 times plus (I must have a lot of spare time....)
I'd go with Little Shop of Horrors.
Flash Gordon comes in a close second!

Lickable 13-06-2005, 15:41 What is it with Elvira?
What is it all about?
Did she not let the part go after the film?
What was the film?
Its always confused me.
Jennie80 13-06-2005, 15:46 I'd have to go for labyrinth, I used to watch it nearly every day when I was 10 and knew the whole film off by heart. Still watch it now if I'm depressed or down (today being an example!)
The pit of eternal stench, what a classic idea!

Leslie Nielsen films aren't cheesy - they're classics! :P

The two aren't mutually exclusive. Cheddar is both cheesy and a classic.
