View Full Version : Most Haunted Live - the search for evil virgin1 & living
craigmason 11-01-2009, 09:32 So who watched last nights show ?
I have not seen it for a long time as i don't have satellite or cable tv only freeview so used to watch it on ftn.
I have been informed that its on virgin 1 all week so if you have freeview you can watch it all week
that medium they have brian shepard is not very good is he not a patch on david wells
ChrisTodd 11-01-2009, 14:58 I saw a bit of the programme.
You would think by now though that one TV show at least would have been able to record some absolute proof that ghosts exist.
I suppose we only watch them to hope that this time we will see the proof, only to be disappointed again.
Couldn't any bugger do the 'medium's' job?
"I see a group of children over there in the corner ........ now prove me wrong!!!!"
"There's a monk who means us harm .......... but I'm the only numpty who can see him ........... so there!!"
"Something is squeezing my arm .......... but my coat sleeve isn't distorted you'll notice!!"
"Thank you, now can I have my money ........ you mugs!!"
mistyraven 11-01-2009, 19:30 Saxon51 I agree, everytime they think they see something we have a break.
And that man with the beard (dunno his name) doing the history he is knocking yvettes mam off. Karl and the bald bloke (not sure of his name either) they are related.
I tend not to watch it, but I am aware that whenever there is something kicking off, such as objects thrown, then the camera is focussing on the person screaming and not on the direction that the supposed thrown objects are coming from.
I know there is a reason for this, IE it is all rigged and rehearsed, but you'd think they'd put some effort in to convince the more intelligent of us that what's happening might just be real.
Has anyone, in the endless hours of this dross, ever seen anything during one of the programmes that might be real paranormal activity?
Brian Shepherd does my head in, and hes started to say "you know" all the time like Derek Achora did.
OOO theyve been stuffed into coffins by Karl, I love him and Yvette!:hihi:

I did see something a little wierd on one of the webcams a few years back.
It was in a closed old bedroom, and what I saw was a something low to the ground about the size of a football or a head, it seem to have legs like that of a spider (If you've seen John Carpenter's film "The Thing" you'll know what I mean.)
The trouble is the webcams are never that clear so I can't say I saw any real detail of the thing, but what I could see was something rapidly(and I mean rapid) crawling on the floor and out the door.
It definitely wasn't a cat or small dog, so I can't really explain what I saw unless of course it was a pet octopus that got out of its tank.;)

That sounds scary I wouldn't have liked that.
I have to say I have never seen anything on any of the web cams and as you say they are not very clear. I think most people are imagining things as the dark can look like shapes.
I do believe in ghosts but I am not very convinced with Most Haunted I used to like it but I think it has got very tedious now.
I prefer the American show Ghosthunters they seem much more professional and actually seem to have got a few interesting recordings of sounds and sightings.
Saw a bit of the opening episode and couldn't help noticing that Yvette looked really rough. She said that she'd been bedridden for six weeks following an operation - does anyone know what's wrong with her?
Couldn't any bugger do the 'medium's' job?...
Yes. Well, anyone with a stage school background anyway. Most Haunted's all about entertainment: squealing at dust clouds, looking terrified when the camera man poltergeist lobs a stone etc.
Ghostbusters was a Panorama documentary compared to Most Haunted :hihi: .

Theres a programme on living TV on Saturday called In Bed With Yvette and Karl, which is supposed to explain everything.

Unfortunately I'm on freeview, so won't be able to watch this
mistyraven 13-01-2009, 13:26 I think they all earned the cash last night doing the coffin stint
When that bald man got in they seemed to leave him in the coffin for ages.
ekke_287 13-01-2009, 13:37 Has any ever noticed in the whole of Most Haunted that in the glass moving exercise, the glass moves rapidly until something happens elsewhere then immediately stops.
Weird that.
Kingmaker2 13-01-2009, 17:27 That sounds scary I wouldn't have liked that.

Yes, it sent a quick shiver down the spine at the time, I saw it only for literally about a couple of seconds, but it definitely was there as a opposed to a shape or shadow, I spent the rest of the night transfixed on the same webcam hoping to catch a sight of it again but It didn't return.
I've seen the Ghosthunter show where their are 2 ghosthunters that walk around with cameras attached to the top of their heads.
Some of the stuff they produce as evidence is pretty interesting and certainly more tangable than the stuff the Most Haunted team produce.
In other words the Ghost Hunter series doesn't soley rely on "taps bangs whistles and whipering voices" as strong evidence, unlike Most Haunted which always use those phenomena as their evidence.
The trouble with Most Haunted is that even when supposed phenomena does take place, the veiwer really can't be sure that a member of the crew or production team were introducing the bangs and knocks etc.
In my opinion the Most Haunted crew really need to move away from the "cosy family" atmosphere amongst their group and try to intoduce other investigators totally seperate from the usual Most Haunted crew.
For example why doesn't Ms.Fielding involve well known skeptics, like Chris French on the show and involve him in some of the experiments instead of Carl, that way if Mr. French passes out like Carl did on Sunday night then you know it wasn't an act.
There own resident skeptic, Ciaran O'Keefe has perhaps become too involved with the team to be of too much value as the skeptic.
I actually prefer the other ghost show Dead Famous with Gail Porter, again Dead Famous have come up with both visual and audio evidence which looks far more credible than most of what Most Haunted comes up with.
Dead Famous did do a "live" show a few years back which I enjoyed but sadly haven't done anymore "live" shows since.
That said though I think Most Haunted have had their moments, remember when Richard Felix was filming himself sleeping in a ship's cabin, he was awoken on a couple of occassions by what clearly could be heard as a child's voice. Now that was spooky!;)
I think they all earned the cash last night doing the coffin stint
When that bald man got in they seemed to leave him in the coffin for ages.
You mean Julian!:hihi: Aww bless him, he looked petrified, and no one cared, they all went about their business, while Julian was being really brave. When they finally asked him if he wanted to get out, he replied very politely "yes please, I wouldnt mind!"
Theres a Julian Clegg Appreciation Society on facebook, of which Im a proud member1:hihi:
Bladesman 13-01-2009, 20:44 I think Julian Clegg officially has the biggest ears on TV.
His ears are definatly bigger than Linekers.
discodown 13-01-2009, 20:50 I've been watching it all week and laughing myself stupid. Forget the vigils, take a look at the text messages people send to the show.
That said i'd love to do a vigil with a paranormal team just to see what its like
Kingmaker2 13-01-2009, 23:53 Wow! they actually caught an apparition on film tonight!
Well done to the Most Haunted team!
They finally did it!
Just kidding!;)
mistyraven 14-01-2009, 14:02 I thought last nights MH was a waste of time. how come the first books to fall or be pushed off was what karl picked?
Why is the cam always up Yvettes nose?
When Yvette was told by someone that they had caught shadows on the cam why did she ignor him (cannot think of his name either, I am no good with names)
Yvette should just go on her own with a cam due to the fact no one else gets a look in.
Bladesman 14-01-2009, 14:15 Yeah it is pretty much all about Yvette and you are right that cam seems to be getting closer and closer to her face everytime.
Yeah it is pretty much all about Yvette and you are right that cam seems to be getting closer and closer to her face everytime.
As long as the cam doesnt do that with Kath, that'd be more scary than any flippin ghost! :hihi:
mistyraven 14-01-2009, 14:50 Karl looked very dressed up last night in his suit thought he were off to a meeting not going to chase ghosts.
blade1000rr 14-01-2009, 16:46 Yeah it is pretty much all about Yvette and you are right that cam seems to be getting closer and closer to her face everytime.
she gets on my nerves, she always forces people in the team to do "lone vigils"
while she sticks close to anyone that will put up with her. and the reason why she sticks the camera so close to her clock is that the screen will give off a little light source so she's not in total darkness.
but what REALLY winds me up is when she tells everyone to be quiet and then squeals "what was that?" "did you hear that?" no can't hear a bloody thing for you ya stupid b***h get the camera turned around, then if there is anything to see we just might see it.
as already said in this thread, would love to see something as i believe there's something after death and would love the proof, but this programme is really annoying.
mind you i think stuart's brilliant (the bald 1) really makes me laugh when something apparently happens.
Bladesman 14-01-2009, 17:06 I always feel abit sorry for Stuart he always seems to be on the end of anything dramatic and ends up hurting himself.
mistyraven 14-01-2009, 17:31 Would you go any where near this lot if you were dead? you would have no chance of being spotted would you.
Kingmaker2 14-01-2009, 17:39 as already said in this thread, would love to see something as i believe there's something after death and would love the proof, but this programme is really annoying.
.
The trouble with this show is that whether it's 3 nights live or 7 nights live they never do a summary show, where all the supposed evidence is dicussed amongst the team and outside skeptics like Chris French or Blackmore (can't remember her first name.)
That would be far more interesting to see people actually challenging the Most Haunted team.....it never happens and unfortunately it's become far too cosy for the team with everything happening on their terms, it's about time someone was capable of throwing a spanner in the works.
Come on Most Haunted team get those skeptics on......it will make for much more compulsive vieiwing and would probably push the Most Haunted team to get something more concrete, rather than the knocks, bangs that they always hear whenever they have an investigation.
And as for Karl, Stuart and Cath getting touched or hit isn't it about time you got a skeptic to feel these things, even their resident skeptic Ciarren O'Keefe never gets to "feel" anything.
On Sunday night you had Cath and Karl strapped in the chair......now why wasn't Ciarren......had he collapsed in the chair like Karl did then that would be much more convincing, like I said its all far too controlled by the Most Haunted team to convince anyone of their findings.

can't agree more, it's always the same people that these things happen to.
would love to go on 1 of their shows into 1 of these supposedly haunted houses.
oh yeh the worse 1's have got to be the 1's where they are outside in a haunted wood/graveyard and they hear noises
well of course you're going to hear noises there's wild animals living out there :hihi:
Kingmaker2 14-01-2009, 18:48 oh yeh the worse 1's have got to be the 1's where they are outside in a haunted wood/graveyard and they hear noises

Yep, I generally find the noises and bangings the least convincing of the "evidence" since all the noises and whispers can easily be replicated by someone out of camera shot, and lots of the noises they hear can easily be mistaken for anilmals.
Instead of repeating the same old knocks and bangs, why can't the team concentrate try and get a simple glass tumbler to move on its own accord with no hands on it?
Any wildlife filmaker will tell you that you have to stake out the rare wildlife for hours if not days before you get the shots you want.
Ghosts are also rare, so why is it that in every 3 hour show a ghost or spirit shows up?
Surely if Most Haunted Live were a true "ghost hunt" as oppossed to an entertainment show, then you would get a number of shows where absolutely nothing unusual happens, it might be a little disappointing to watch, but it would be a much more genuine experience.
Bladesman 15-01-2009, 11:13 Well last night annoyed me.
Who ever they were trying to contact on the ouija board obviously wanted Yvette to go and sit in the room alone. Even when she left the ouija board it still kept pointing to her. It looked to me for once on Most Boring that they may of actually contacted a spirit and might be onto something.
She kept refusing and its like come on Yvette everyone else has gone in the room alone its your turn. I mean if you don't like it then don't do the show anymore. Even Karl her husband was trying persuade her because even he was thinking something might happen. Did she go? No. Then she made out she was feeling tired obviously your going to feel abit tired its 11:30 at night.
So I actually felt abit cheated after last nights show they had a chance to possibly find something. So thanks to Yvette bossing everyone else around and never doing anything herself it was ruined.
blade1000rr 15-01-2009, 14:27 it maybe yvettes baby this programme, but she's the worse person to be there, the way she forces kath into doing lone vigils is terrible, she makes out she's her pal then whe she wants her to do something she virtually gives her an ultimatum either do it or your out!!

Or perhaps there wasn't anything there at all, and in order to hype it up for the viewers such as yourself they put on this big act where she pretends like she's to afraid to do it, and the others are trying to encourage her, I mean it's a lot easier than actually filming ghosts. Worked pretty well on you at least.

It probably was a big act and It wouldnt be for the 1st time either.
I was just hoping Yvette might get what's coming to her. :)
I always feel abit sorry for Stuart he always seems to be on the end of anything dramatic and ends up hurting himself.
He loves it! Hes sadistic!:hihi:
mistyraven 15-01-2009, 20:53 It was another let down, If they let the cams point forward and Yvette would just be quite we may see something.
I went to bed around eleven, yvette did not go into the room and made out she was scared..
I wonder how much each one gets for being on the show.
Bladesman 15-01-2009, 21:32 Yvette pulled out of staying the night with Cath when she said was going to last night.
Surprise surprise.
flamingjimmy 15-01-2009, 21:41 It probably was a big act and It wouldnt be for the 1st time either.

They used to lock people up for false mediumship apparently, sounds like a good idea to me.

In the times of witches, they wouldve been burnt at the stake!:hihi:
flamingjimmy 15-01-2009, 22:07 In the times of witches, they wouldve been burnt at the stake!:hihi:
No, that would be the real mediums, the false ones wouldn't be witches would they?:)
blade1000rr 16-01-2009, 18:57 can anyone confirm that derek ocorah was caught out by the most haunted team and got shot of for "cheating"
ahhhh now there was a conning git, started off by just sensing things and ended up being taken over by the darkside.
the best 1 must av been when he'd been taken over and yvette was arguing with "them" shouting i'm not scared of you hahaha what did they call her ??? harlot weren't it ??
blade1000rr 17-01-2009, 12:35 watched the last "live" last night oh my what a waste of 3 hours.
why is it that when karl and stuart go it alone, they see some really strange things (apparently) last night they did their usual "we're big men" we're going it alone, when low and behold they see (supposedly) a black figure crawling on all fours like an animal towards them.
maybe they did, but why don't they take a camera with them so we can all see it ?
used to be glued to m/h on tuesday night but doubt whether i'll bother ever again.
Kingmaker2 17-01-2009, 16:57 Well, I amit to watching bits and pieces of the "Live" program just to see if they have managed to film that glass tumbler moving on its own, or a apparition is caught on camera.
Of course as usual at the conclusion of the investigation, it is always an "amazing" investigation (Ala Paul Ross) but ultimately the team never come up with anything more definitive than knocking sounds, feeling uncomfortable and seeing shadows.
All of which could be either set up by someone on the Most Haunted team or the imaginations of the main players i.e Karl. Yvette, Stuart Cath etc.
Paul Ross, interviewed Ciarren Okeefe who kept saying that he was like a kid in a paranormal candy store, but Ciarren is never really pushed to ask if they caught anything paranormal, and usually the viewer is left to be told that Ciarren Okeefe will spend time analysing the results......but do we ever get any follow up to hear whether Ciarren has detected anything that he considers paranormal....nope!
mistyraven 17-01-2009, 17:36 I dont know if I will watch it again.
Why would they not let no one go with them (cannot remember names ) they just sat watching/falling asleep with Paul Ross.
That bloke really wanted to go who was sat near the p.c next to the lady.
It was a farce.
blade1000rr 17-01-2009, 18:41 oh yeh, last night they did a ouija board, but it wasn't any old ouija board, oh no it was 1 that karl had designed as yvette let everyone know. so, no doubt you'll be able to buy your very own karl beatty designed most hunted ouija board very soon
kerrrrrrrrrrrrrrching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kingmaker2 17-01-2009, 18:53 oh yeh, last night they did a ouija board, but it wasn't any old ouija board, oh no it was 1 that karl had designed as yvette let everyone know. so, no doubt you'll be able to buy your very own karl beatty designed most hunted ouija board very soon
kerrrrrrrrrrrrrrching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And let's not forget Yvette Fielding is the bravest woman in the world according to Karl (due her operation).
How is doing a ghost investigation that brave......out of all the investigations they have done the most that has happened are a few scratches and sometimes collapsing.
Would the so called "bravest woman in the world"....choose to spend those 7 nights in Gaza instead of the Most Haunted programme?
Answers on a postcard please!
dieselbabe 17-01-2009, 21:36 Its the text messages the viewers send in that cracks me up. The best one i seen on this live week was about the so called devil named Jake one sent one saying, watch out for jake tonight, I have a feeling he will bring Fizz, Milo and Bella with him lol.
Nigel Womersle 20-01-2009, 12:59 Why do they always have to turn off the lights? It's just for effect, I think. I saw about two hours of it last week, from the Liverpool Empire. They have now recruited 'Fred', who was the subject of Most Haunted quite a while back. He is supposedly the reincarnation of a Lord of the Manor in the 1500's, and is living in the same house. He has a nightclub in London, which according to Acorah, Ruth Ellis haunts. It has nothing to do with Fred being filthy rich. It's time the programme was shelved. I liked it at one time, but Derek Acorah's silly ways put me completely off it. I likened him to Uriah Heep. I thought I would give it a go last week, as I believed we would see the Liverpool Empire in detail. Ha Ha. As I say, I rang down the curtain after two hours of rubbish
