Absolutely freezing today. The bucket collection wasn't very good to be honest.I think folk were too wrapped up to get there money to be honest.

I decided to take up the offer of the free ticket and watch the game.I was sat in the South stand close to the Norwich fans.To be honest the ground looks quite well.I didn't realise the hotel was built onto the ground.

The game it's self wasn't a classic.Norwich were a poor side at Hillsborough and haven't improved.United were the better side first half.Henderson layed the ball off well in the build up to the goal and Webbers cross was perfect.I was quite impressed with Webber and Quinn first half.Quinn strikes a ball well and was unlucky not to have scored when he hit the bar.
Once or twice Uniteds defence switched off but over all were fairly solid.United deserved the lead i thought although Norwich were a bit unlucky when they hit the bar.

2nd half was more even.Norwich came more into the game and had a couple of good chances but there lacking a decent striker.
United seemed to sit back as the half went on but didn't look too troubled although Norwich hit the post and Keny saved well.

Montgomery puts himself about but isn't a football player.
Cotterill is worse than Small.I can see why he isn't popular.
Quinn looks small but grafts for the team and can hit a ball.I'd have him in our side.
Naughton was too far away first half to judge him.Second half to be honest he didn't do too much to stand out.He puts his foot through the ball a fair bit also.Cotterill doesn't offer him much though.
Henderson played well and held the ball up and took his goal well.
Sharp.Chases everything rather than pick his runs.Doesn't play the ball soon enough and passed at times he should have shot.
Webber.Looked good first half and made decent runs but isn't played the ball at the right times. He looked too clever for some players.Jeffers has the same problem. 2nd half took on too many players and ended up tripping himself up.
Morgan,Naysmith and Killa were solid but as i've said Norwich were terrible.

Finally.A very good attendance but quiet considering the ground was fairly full.
I'll not be going again though.

We played well first half and deserved to be in front, henderson had a good game as did naughton, cotteril had a mare he needs to look at himself and ask if he is up for the challenge?
Second half we did struggle a bit and had a few luck escapes, but all in all we got the win and thats all that matters.

We weren't reight good today, looked comfortable in the first half but tried our best to thrown the game away late in the 2nd.

Webber and Sharp didn't do too much, Cotterill looked like a rabbit in headlights, Monty chased everything (as expected)......Defence looked solid enough, Naughton is a different gravy all together....

I really do feel sorry for some Norwich fans. Just look at the problems today. This Norwich fan turned up and it was his first visit to Bramall Lane the guy wasn't sure on where to go so decided he'd better ask a passer-by for directions...

"Excuse me sir could you please tell me how to get to Bramall Lane?"
"Yeah mate, Just follow the crowds"
Needless to say the poor Norwich fan ended up outside Tescos Metro.

Wolves have been slipping up, and i can see them dropping into the play off positions, but unless Reading or Brum slip up i dont think we have a realistic chance.

I doubt we'll be going up! Unless we can get someone in who can put away the chances. It looked like we were trying to pass it into the net in the second half... Although not as bad as against Charlton when Beattie was just running up and down in a straight line and everyone wacked it up to him. At least the build up play was good today.

We were a pretty avarage Championship side today and Norwich were a poor one. We seem to have such a paper thin squad now. Cotterill is very poor and slower than Jan Molby. Sharp gives so much but I don't think I have ever seen a less intelligent (football wise) striker. Henderson was constantly having to tell him where to be and his running off the ball is shocking.

Play-off would be nice but I won't go holding my breath about promotion.

I'm gutted about Beattie, but if we get a decent goalscorer to replace him then it may be no bad thing that he's moving on. The wages were a bit on the stupid side and I don't think having him here has helped the other strikers.

Apparently all thats happened is Stoke have made an 'approach' which to me means they've basically asked if he's for sale. I'd hate him to leave but everyone worrying about it's not going to change anything. If he goes, he goes.

If BTisn't replaced we don't deserve anything.Saying that,at least Henderson is a target man,we just need someone alongside him. There are still other positions that need filling though. Can't understand Webber being played out left;all he does is try to cut in onto his right-then lose the ball.Cotterill was diabolical.Possibly wasted a million there.Stokes should be sent back when his loan spell is up,he offers nothing.Nice to see Sun back but wasted on the bench.Apart from that it's 6 unbeaten and chance to consolidate top 4 as those around us play each other next week.:)

Granted Lita is a good player, but it seems a little strange how Reading have washed there hand's with him, and how not many team's wanted to take a chance on him this season.
I thought he was too good for Norwich, he seem's a gamble to me but who know's a fresh start is what he might need.
He looked very sharp at Hillsborough to be fair and took his goal really well.

i do find it strange how not many clubs have wanted to go for him, especially if the price is right that has been quoted for him. maybe he has had a few disipline problems but a fresh start playing in a team with a chance of promotion could be what he needs. i just think bt hardly gets any from open play whereas lita has pace and knows where the goal is

I did the same at Hillsborough coincidently when we played Norwich the other week.
I've not been to the lane apart from to see Wednesday for many years and offered to help collect for the Cavendish so thought i'd check out our neighbours.I certainly wouldn't pay to do it.
I've seen United against us obviously and a couple of times on Sky.I don't know more than that. However Cotterill stood out as the worst player on the pitch.I think he cost plenty of money also.

Will you be able to live it down if your attendances dwindle if you don't go up this season, time n time again it has been said on here that there is hundred's if not thousand's of Unitedites out there who are holding and have been holding KID'S season ticket's all season, im almost certain United will change there policie's on the turnstyle's next season so will that will be a big effect on your attendance's, the gaffer's at the lane must know there getting blagged.

even for you pal thats garbage. last season there was no freebie season tkts and we still averaged 25,000... next

Is that the same football expert who said Warnock would effectively throw the game... :)

If you make enough predictions, eventually you'll get some right! Just ask Corker with his tips... :hihi:

It's not that long ago the expert said Cardiff were the real threat for automatic... (not a dig at you Mr B, just pointing out you're no Nostradamus...)

I've just got a little feeling that if we don't do it this time round it will be a lot harder next season-and we could well be a lot nearer to the Owls than we finished this time;they are improving slowly but surely and it could be a pretty tough league with Newcastle and Middlesborough in it...
