Nether Edge Hospital. Any staff from the Cliffe, Milner wards & maternity ward, 1954 onwards.

Oh yes i remember working on all of the above wards from 75 until the hospital closed.
One of the saddest days, then going to work at Jessops hospital, then when that closed being transferred to the new jessops, i have now retired! Have such fond memories of working at NEH.

NEH, a brilliant place, my wife had all our 3 Kids there and was cared for on the Milner ward in 1972,1975 & 1977, due to the length of her confinements it felt that i worked there. It seems like only yesterday when we were saying goodbye to the nurses before getting into the car at the top of the ramp.

yes i also had my children at NEH in 78 and 79 it seemed very strange on the
other side of the caring profession, but i certainly wouldn,t have had them at any other hospital, the care was excellent. Infact i cannot drive past there even now without a tear in my eye. It should never have closed
