EdnaKrabappe 10-01-2009, 08:52 All very good edna, but arent they classed as duos rather than bands? :D Ok I take the point. :) A few more up for consideration then. I'm sticking with the Supremes though we've got a fuzzbox (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=afyyOsbFnCU) and we're going to use it. Great song not followed up (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mfT3n_vSnso) with longevity The Go Gos. (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MpJZVfeRK1c&feature=related) Get Belinda's enthusiastic dancing! :hihi: - I prefer the funboy three cover of this. The Bangles I love their love of version of S&G'sHazy Shade of winter (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm67azp31yg&feature=related) The Belle Stars. (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9mkaHXTf0-w) I remember having a group of mates round and hairbrush miming to this song. :hihi: EdnaKrabappe 10-01-2009, 08:53 What about these Shaz? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7fGedKNUQu0# I saw these on a stall at Thorsby Hall market a few years ago selling tapes....Classic  They were like an earlier version of Tatu (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=muJaDZA-_Bk)really weren't they? Strange link. I get - "This video is not available in your country" EdnaKrabappe 10-01-2009, 09:43 Strange link. I get - "This video is not available in your country" Mm I can watch it, not that I'd want to all the way through. Mattenmurg 10-01-2009, 17:33 What about TLC??? They're my favorite. As for current, Sugababes have lost their spark for me so I guess it's Girls Aloud. plekhanov 11-01-2009, 19:09 And relative nonentities like the The Three Degrees, Nolans, Suga Babes & Girls Aloud are on the poll instead of The Shirelles, Shangri-Las, The Ronettes, Candy and Kisses, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, The Marvelettes... and the rest of the groups from the golden age of girl groups or significant more subsequent groups like TLC, Destiny's Child, En Vogue and even Banarama why exactly? saxon51 11-01-2009, 19:38 The Andrews Sisters. Oh yeah!!! plekhanov 11-01-2009, 19:42 Ok I take the point. :) A few more up for consideration then. I'm sticking with the Supremes though we've got a fuzzbox (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=afyyOsbFnCU) and we're going to use it. Are they really the same band who came up with 'Rules & regulations' & 'Love is the slug'? I vaguely remember a band called 'fuzzbox' having a hit with 'pink sunshine' in my childhood, I never imagined that they were the same band who put out 'Bostin' Steve Austin'. Also what the hell were they thinking in that trying to go up against Jane Fonda as Barbarella in that video, that's a contest there's only ever going to be one winner of. |
