glass TV needs a S-Video cable
LCD/Plasma needs a regular D-sub or DVI cable ( dependent on TV and graphic card)

i did this a while ago now & i would recomend it to anyone who needs to gain the space that a pc table & chair take up,i now sit in the comfort of my armchair with a wireless keyboard & mouse, surfing away in comfort. i purchased the cable from here

Is there a split screen mode on the tv. If so then yes. My tv only allows me to split between pc and tv but not lets say my xbox on hdmi with tv.

all you need then is a D-SUB cable for the video and a 5mm jack to phono for the sound, That is for the best picture.

or s-video adapter to phono from PC and phono to Tv and 5mm jack to phono for sound. That will connect to the Red,White and yellow phono

all parts you need can be easy bought for less than a tenner, the bottom option is like a quid from pound land.

here is an old but yet idiots guide
