Hi
Of recent i've been getting tired of going to the same old big-chain bars (varsity, cavendish, wetherspoons et al..) with my mates. I have complained to them but it seems the main reason we persist in going to them is the cheaper price of drinks. Can anyone advise any alternative/individual bars/pubs in the city centre which do not charge you 50% extra for the privelage!

The Brown Bear is very cheap. There are often offers in the Old Monk too.

devonshire cat, not far from your usual haunts, costs a little bit more but is well worth it.

you seem to be around West street so Id say the Bath Hotel, the Red Deer, the Devonshire Cat, the Washy (when it's got booze)

Failing that try E-Man Groovin's rendevous at Trippetts....I will get there one Wednesday, after me holidays like :)

The new student ents building is open to public punters. Pretty good I think - you get all the cheap drinks too. It's in the old National Centre for Popular Music down on Paternoster Row.
