Hi, i've been having problems with my laptop all night due to freezing and after a while blue screen.

Eventually windows help has intentified the problem with the RAID Controller (whatever that is!!) with the name of Intel matrix Storage Manager (iaStor.sys)

Windows help gave me the following website http://downloadcentre.intel.com/product_filter.aspx?productID=2101

All that comes up (or at least when i try) is application not found.

so been on their website and tried various searches like raid controller, which came up with 900 odd downloads and so on. i have done a product search on 2101 which finds nothing.

My problem is i have not got a clue as to the best download and obviously dont want to download the wrong driver!

So can anyone point me in the right direction so that i dont cock my laptop up!! lol

Whats the make and model?
You can download the latest drivers but need that info.

That doesn't come up in google at all. Basically find out what chipset it has then go to the manufacturers website and get their drivers. Probably shouldn't be running in RAID mode at all if it's a laptop.

i have never purposely run in RAID, no idea as to what it is!! lol. Just going by what windows help says the problem is!!

Chipset, without sounding too dim what and where will i find that:confused:

just checked, model is PCG-8Z2M. been ill, i was shattered last night!!

everything, touch wood, seems to be working ok now:confused:

so what is RAID??!?!?!?
