Seems to be circling over Endcliffe park. Anyone know what's going on? :suspect:

I walked past earlier and there were a large group of Somalian youths causing trouble, presumably on their way back from the fair at Endcliffe Park. When I say large group, I mean large - there were about 30 of them. I think it's more than likely they had something to do with the police helicopter over Endcliffe Park/ Hunters Bar.

I wish they'd just get rid of that damn fair.
All I can hear is that blasted frog and some gypsey shouting

"Ngoruuuuaaaaa"

Always trouble, every year.

How strange it is when people refer to white kids as being white. People are usually quite happy to point out when someone is black or asian but never make the point when they are white.

Very refreshing.

I think it's because if "group of youths" is used, it's implicitly white since Sheffield has around 95% of its population being white. When black or asian is used, it provides explicit description for more detail (I even pinpointed the youths I saw as Somalian).

I went all the way along Ecclesall Road, right up to near Button Hill earlier and there were police everywhere. Then went to Nether Edge and it was even worse, they were on EVERY corner! Think it's to do with the G8 summit people been in the hotel near there. Also, Peace in the Park or something was on there.

I would guess pre-G8 security measures. As for Peace in the Park - after the march had finished there was minimal police prescence - basically ther were just ushering the various bands' vans around and stuff. After all, the people least likely to cause trouble are surely those at a festival called Peace in the Park!

Well there seems to be odd things happening all over today. Again, not sure if it had anything to do with the G8 summit but on my way back from the shops today (in West London) there I looked in amazement as 3 jetliners passed over head in quick succession each with with 2 fighter jets alongside. It was seriosuly scary.
