Went in the washy this afternoon, no speckled hen, no abbott, no caffreys, no carling, no stella, hardly any bottles in the fridges. After I went in last weekend and they ran out of everything apart from spirits at 10pm!!

Staff seemed very down and distressed and didn't want to tell me what was going on but the feeling is that the manager is trying to be forced out by the owners as he isn't a yes man!

Unbeleivable.

So if you want a drink don't go in the washington, looks like it won't be open for long!

Yeah, it's a shame - was in there last weekend during the Devonshire Jam and it was crammed with people and they were running out of stuff all over the place.

That kind of thing is not uncommon in the washington. Before we stopped going in due to the thick tobacco smoke, at times over the last 6 or more years, there was only cheap lager to drink. I always wondered if they were changing ownership again.

I can't remember a time I've been in and they had all the bers on in the last few years. They ran out of beer 2 saturdays running and had to close Sunday.

It seems very badly run and it seemsthat there are issues with the owners/brewery

SO another good Sheffield pub soon to bite the dust then - last time I was in Ralph (of Ralph and Ralphettes) was working behind the bar ...
