160GB DVR 4 channel camera kit help!!!!

all was set up and working,

I havent got a screen to watch the cams on yet, and i needed to know if this system works.

i set up 1 camera to the dvr. and turned them both on. i pressed record, and it seems to be recording. after awile,

I take away the camera, and pack it up and conect the dvr to my computer via USB.

hardweare was foudn and sucsessfully instaled so it said.
anyway i put the cd in.. what come with the dvr, and on instruction book it says open dvr pc viewerand install it.. so i did.

great... im looking at the vid i recorded. now i come to copy it onto my computer capture the file. it says after i captured the file that its saved in MYS folder

there isnt a MYS folder when i come to open the file! and no file been saved to the computer.

i duno whats going wrong??

anyone? good with cams?

Hi Lee, I've got the same Recorder and had the same problem. I contacted the supplier and was told to go to the manufacturers site and update the software, This sorted the problem.

i contacted maplin for the suppliers website and no reply :(
everything is fine.. i just cant put the films onto my computer.

i didnt download the one you said because it was in a Zip formatt what my computer didnt reconise but i managed to download the one before it! and it works fine!

Now i dont supose you have a way of converting the video files ;) so windows movie makers can use it.

Hi Lee, I'm Pleased that worked, As for converting the video's i dont know, My setup is on a dedicated pc so i dont need to convert them.
I'm sure there will be some software on the web somewhere that will do it, Sorry i can't help you anymore than that, But if i come across anything i will let you know.
