Hi all after the above as the lappy came with vista on just trying to get xp drivers before i get rid of vista

Go into the System Properties page and find out the manufacturers of the sound, video, network, wireless drivers.

Then just get them from the device manufacturers - ATI, Intel, Realtek, Broadcom etc.
