Does anywhere know where they do them during the week? I know about tequila and Champs, but at a fiver each, (for the cheapest!) it seems a bit dear to me, especially when its just a few friends who fancy a drink and a natter.
Anywhere thats not too far away from S11? And no, don't fancy the Walnut Club.

Las Iguanas have happy hour until 7.30 (every day I think). Popolos do Mojito Wednesdays every Weds (obviously) where all their Mojitos are cheap. Think Vodka Rev have quite a lot of offers, especially if you get a Revolution card thingy. The cocktails at Forum and Crystal aren't too expensive if I remember rightly.
My favourite cocktails are at the Ivory, but it's definitely not cheap!
Muse - now dogma - do either 2 for a fiver or buy one get one free - 3pm while 8pm. All good. Olive have a similar deal too. As medicgirl says Ivory is the best. They used to have a happy hour - don't know if they still do.
For cocktails I'd stick to S1 rather than S11!

To do a good cocktail you would expect them to cost at least a fiver each, as they should have 3-4 shots of GOOD quality alcohol in there.
There's a reason why the cocktails in these places that do two for a fiver are always hopeless you know.
Abuelo, the newish mexican place on the corner of Hickmott road and Ecclesall road has some very well trained barmen who make great cocktails. They will also pretty much make you anything that isn't on the menu if you ask.
And Pureessence is right in that if you're in anywhere charging less than £5 for a cocktail its probably worth ordering something cheaper and simpler to make!

The Oldhouse has cocktails for £3 I think Mon - Fri. And they are really good. Proper good alcohol.

not always ;)
Olive Bar on Div. Street- I work there and can guarantee the cocktails are all carefully and expertly made with only premium spirits. We do a bloody good mojito as well. 2 for £7 before nine...:)...
The Old House does offers from 5-9 mondy to friday so you can get mojitos for about £3! They do a pretty varied selection and they have wine and beer offers at the same time

Just discovered while looking on the HaHa website that they are doing £3 cocktails between 5-7pm every day throughout January. It's been a while since I had cocktails there but I think last time they were pretty good.
