I seem to remember there was an abundance of threads about modelling not long ago, and they got lots of replies/contacts/advice.

If you search the threads, I'm sure you'll find some useful info!

hi damian you should contact a well established modelling agency within sheffield or your area they will be able to advise you and help you get a portfolio together the only way really to get into modelling is been on an agencys books as they have all there clients and the agency will book you in for shoots, promotional work or tv work try dk model agency in sheffield is one of the best in yorkshire and really helpful or aka model agency they do alot of tv work and work with kids but its also an agency for adults its a good agency but its in warrington. hope it works out for you good luck

Wear skimpy stuff on the beaches during heatwaves and walk about posing alot...it worked for lucy pinder. lol

only advice i know is don't PAY up front to become part of an agency...most likely be a scam.

I am creating a model portfolio website. I wonder for my research, would you prefer to pay to be on the site or be on there for free but have paid adverts on the pages.

The first site will be under http://www.fashionmodel.me.uk/. I have put up a draft portfolio and should be expanding this over this coming year.
