Has anyone or anyone else used this method to stop smoking?

I am too weak willed to stop on my own and would like to try this but does it work?

second mjlacey. I too am an Allen Carr evangelist, as are quite a few people on the forum. Try a search for his name.

Forget the hypnotherapy or books.

Go to one of the local cessation classes, they can offer you advice on all the different ways to stop smoking, as well as perscriptions for Nicotine replacement therapy.

It worked for me after 20 years smoking, statistics show you are more likely to stop with group support

the woman book is quite good as it does relate more to issues that we have as women like not just eating loads of chocolate instead !! But it does also get onto more serious issues. I would recommened it as i know people it has worked for. it just didn't work for me !

scott - tried to pm you but your mailbox is full !!

Allen Carr is very against nicotene replacement he says that it makes it harder than it is. Remember as Allen says 'it is easy'!

Wow! I'm going to be a cheesy American like Al!

I've had hypnosis twice....
The first time I stopped for two years and became the most anti smoking person you have ever known....

Until one fateful party.

Then after three months of smoking I went back and hypnosis again and managed 8 months.

Everyone is different but I just started again because a) I am stupid when I am drunk and 2) You think "Oh well I'll just have hypnosis again!"

I think hypnosis is worth a try but just don't EVER EVER EVER put a fag near your mouth again.

I stopped smoking 10 years ago after one hypnotherapy session and have never felt the need to have another cigarette. I had smoked for over 30 years, about 20 a day. I know it doesn't work for everyone.
