I've just had someone or something try and send "client.jar" to my mobile. Needless to say I declined to download it but has anyone else had anything similar?

i was out in middlesbrough a couple of days ago and grabbed my phone to see what time it was, i had a file notification screen up....no idea what for or by who....cos i clicked no straight away

I have actually gotten spam as a text message! It was like the crap you see as pop ups when you visit a website. I have also gotten phone calls from telemarketers. I used to only get those type of calls on landlines, but now i find myself screening my cell phones calls :sigh:

was u in a shopping centre? asda? somewhere like that? it mite have been one of the shops trying to send you thier ad, always happens when i walk into asda or the cinema,i dont think they are of any harm, best thing to do is not walk around with ur bluetooth on :thumbsup:

look for the 'push' setting and turn the automatic/allow setting to off/no. Your provider might ask you to turn it on if you ask them to set some settings from over the network, say like internet settings. But in general it means apps and settings can't be controlled remotely.

My brother got an ad from the RAF while out somewhere via bluetooth, and a video for Dove soap was sent through bluetooth while he was in boots or superdrug I cant remember which one he said.
