Just got home tonight and as I took the dog for his walk, the street lights went out and then came back on to the sound of alarms going off

Had it here in Lower Walkley for a second or two.

Burped here in Walkley for a couple of seconds. Just long enough to trigger alarms, reset computers, etc.

Same in crookes, stuff went out just for a second and then alarms were going off for a while!!!

Taplin Road went out too...my ruddy fish nearly went belly up!:mad:

But then I only got back from Hillsborough half an hour ago.

Yeah our power went off last night in Hillsborough about 11:30ish just as I was chatting awaying to my friend on msn messenger, tut.

There was only off for half a second or so, but there was a really bright flash outside on our street and then everything came back on and security/car alarms was going off every where:confused:

hmmm, wynyard road was out too, woken up around 11:30 with peoples alarms going off, folk stood outside with torches, including me, came back on around 12:15. no idea what the problem was tho!!:suspect:
