Would it be possible that when you click on a hyperlink to another website/thread etc that it opens up in a new browser window? Very irritating that it opens up in the current window.

I think that used to be the default option, and was much more annoying.

It's easier to make a link to open in a new window when you want one (right click then open in new window / tab, middle click, shift+click, ctrl+click) than it is to stop a new window being opened when you don't (there isn't).

I was just about to make this same suggestion, then saw it had already been made.

I find it very annoying when a link takes me away from the Sheffield Forum and then I forget and close it instead of going back to Sheffield Forum.

It then means I have to go to all the trouble of finding an email from Sheffield Forum and clicking on a link to get back again.

Maybe this is because I don't have many computer skills but it is the way I do things, and so opening in a new window would be much better for me, other forums I use do this and it works really well.
