While at work tonight I heard there was an armed robbery at the bus depot near East bank road (behind B&Q). One of the guys from our place said he'd been stopped by the police on his way in and the place was swarming with them
Why can't people just be left to work in peace without worries about something like that happening?
I was driving past there just after the incident and it just looked like a car crash to me. Seemed like a Peugeot had swiped the back of a bus and then skidded into the wall of MSF (?) where it was embedded.
There were a lot of police about, but that might have been to do with the fact that the buses were backed up trying to get in the depot. There were little kids everywhere so I doubt the police would have let them be running about if it was an armed robbery. Least, I hope it wasn't one!
There was nothing on the news tonight so I have been wondering, hence my post. He made it sound like a big deal and seemed pretty sure but then again the police would hardly tell him why they'd stopped him though would they surely? I know they'd have to say something but they can't give out details I don't think. He just said it was the armed responce that was there by all accounts....

I live just around the corner from the Olive Grove bus depot - not aware of anything untoward happening.
