Hello, hope you are well.

I just wondered if anyone could possibly give me any information about getting my staffy spayed. She is currently half way throughish her second season and we are wanting to get her spayed as its not fair on her going through this pain every 6months as she goes off her food a little bit and dosnt want to be fussed and is just generally sad, we have no intentions in mating her so it seems the right thing to do. I just wondered if any recomends a good vet or knows how much it will cost roughly. She is 14months old 3stone 3lbs staffy. We live in Rotherham and have no transport so a vet round here would be ideal if possible.

We were to have my female Jrt spayed but unfortunately she was ill so we couldnt, then she had a season, Alan at Highgreen vets said she has to wait 3 month after her season so we are booking her in in march.
We are very very lucky because Alfie the pound dog could not be neutered till the kennel cough had gone but luckily he was not interested in sex. The odd times my Jrt tried to actually mount him, He just shrugged her off. LOL.

PS I dont know the price of spaying but Beech House vets at High Green is one of the cheapest i know.

are you eligible for free or discounted treatment via the PDSA?

it may also be worth contacting the Dogs Trust and the RSPCA to see if they have any vouchers for neutering at the moment

I can recommend Arncliffe at wath, (rotherham) they are very good vets and are open 7 days a week, and i find them reasonable priced,
