What a good month this is - first we have Celebrity Big Brother and then we get season 5 of Lost :)

Anyone know what date the first episode goes on iTunes ? I don't have Sky so will have to get them that way :(

Lost interest in LOST, waited too long, I suppose the next episode will be all about "Looking Back" :(

I watched LOST last night (US) I was so confused I'm going to stop watching it now...I was completely LOST in the whole plot, I swear the writers just make it up as they go along......like, Oh! lets put this guy in a tree and maybe let him fall out next week

I for one won't be following it again this time around...better things to do

Just finished watching the first 2 eps of season 5 and I'm loving it! All the strands are slowly being drawn together, and a lot of elements from earlier seasons are starting to make sense to me now. It helps that I have always been fascinated by (and to avoid spoilers I will be a tad cryptic here) the theories being drawn into the story stands now, so am keeping up with what is happening. However, I can this season resulting in me explaining each episode to my other half as she watches them :)

I felt that it really found it's feet again in season 4, after muddling around a fair bit in season 3.

There will be 6 seasons in total - the last one being next year. this year we have 17 episodes, and the final 17 next year will finally tie up loose ends.

Lost is quite simply the best TV drama (or whatever you wish to call it) ever made. Thank GOD Virgin now has Sky 1 again!

I am a bit peeved that the season 5 premiere clashes with the new season of Supernatural tonight but then that's what repeats are for! I will watch Lost tonight and Supernatural on the repeat (Thursday I think).

Can't beat a bit of good telly :)

I thought tonights double was absolutely fantastic.

Faraday's presence in that last series was good, but I think he's an essential addition now. Played brilliantly.

The only thing that caught me out tonight, was initially when Ana-Lucia pulled Hurley up  (luckily answered shortly after), and without watching again, which time zone they were in, when the longbow archers fired the flame arrows.

Look forward to next one. :)

Yep! You were right.

Ep3 Spoiler-I thought Widmore being one of the 1954 crew, and how you found out was genius!. and of course then finding out why Richard was at Locke's birth. Any thoughts on finding out that Faraday worked and was financed by Widmore? I can't remember if we found this out in the last series.. does that mean he might not be a good en? [/Spoiler]

People saying it is dragging out are wrong IMO. I'm thinking it's getting better and better. The whole story must have been known, when things now from the first/second series are not only relevant, but couldn't have been known to put in.

4 hour download time for Ep4 :(

I'm really enjoying it! Before it started I wasn't too sure whether to tune in for series 5...I thought it might have finally run it's course (I'm sure many people think it did that ages ago), but then again, I think that in between every series. Then it starts again and I get right back into it:D

Ep2, was good! Lots of mystery around whether Ben is good or bad again, especially with the Hurley incident. Was strange to see 'doodah' again(can't rem her name) - Her from the jewelery shop in the earlier series.

Yes I was pretty sure it was Ben who was seeking custody of Aaron (ofcourse to take him back to the island...I guess if Aaron goes, Kate will follow).

I don't think Jin is moving with the time changes, just like Sawyer, Daniel, Juliet, Miles etc aren't. I think it's because he has a constant (Sun) so he remains in 'normal' time...I could be wrong; I never quite understood all that constant stuff:hihi: [end]

I've just watched episode 5; good episode...some surprises!

[Spoiler]
So, it seems Daniel was on the island some time ago, according to what Charlotte said (when she remembered Daniel had told her to leave the island, when she was a young girl). If so, does that mean Daniel is 'ageless' like Richard (remember how he was still the same age when time shifted back to the 50s)?

Or could Daniel not be moving with the time changes, and knowing Charlotte was going to die, went back in time to warn her as a child to leave the island, because he already knew what would happen to her. But, that said, he can't change what happens in time (he's made the point himself before) so it seems a pointless exercise. Unless he did it in some vain hope that it might work? He is in love with her afterall, so maybe he was willing to try anything?

Also, when Des arrived at the church and said something about being there to see Faraday's mother, it seemed to me as though Ben wasn't aware that Daniel was the son of Eloise...and how come she's going to do whatever it is she's going to do when all of them aren't there? She said before that they all have to be there.

Anyway, enough speculation for now:P[End]

It is good they finally brought the black smoke into it and gave a bit more of a story line, but its still moving too slow. The way I see it is when the others get sent back to the island the flashes will stop but they will be stuck in the era that Dhama were building all the bases, i.e how daniel manages to tell the ginger lass(cant remember her name) she will die if she comes back and also how we see Daniel in the creation site of the orchid.

Now. We've gone right back to the very first pilot episode, when the plane crashes and are going through them again. Locke appears to be very calm and knowledgable about the island right away and has a totally relaxed attitude to it all ...

Now, does he change when he nearly gets taken by the smoke monster? He starts to appear more manic about the island and protecting it, whereas in the beginning he had an almost holy sense of calm.

Hmmmmm ....

Watched Episode 13 of series one last night .. After Locke has tied Boon up because he was going to tell Shannon about their finding the hatch. Now Locke puts a salve on Boon's head (to stop the injury getting infected supposedly) and then Boon has this halluceogenic experience where he hears Shannon screaming and manages to escape and find her. Only for them to be chased by the smoke monster, which takes Shannon.

Boon finds her body in the river .. covered with blood.

When he find Locke, he tries to kill him saying it was all Locke's fault .. and Locke asks what he saw. Boon Sayd .. "I saw how Shannon died" Locke says, "Is that what IT made you see?" (Whether it the poultice or the smoke monster is not clear.

Locke then says "I gave you that experience to make sure you survive on this island" and tells him he has to let go. (Of his fascination for Shannon presumably)

Also, the episode before that Locke and Hurley are in the forest and Locke says .. "It's gong to rain one minute from now" and it does.

Hmmmmm .... Methinks Locke is already time travelling.

Ooh .. plus Locke gave Sayid a compass in Episode 14 of the first series .... Hmmm

Interesting thought Saffy. Could well be right.

I've only just re-watched series 1, and some of 2, but I never thought of this.

Do you think then that an episode in this series, could show Locke 'going back' to reshow that point with Boon (but in this time)? :suspect: That WOULD confuse people. :hihi:

And do you think Kate might be pregnant? A friend of mine suggested it, because that woman said everything had to be as much like the initial crash as possible (Claire was ofcourse pregnant), and it made a point of showing that Kate and Jack were going to have sex. Just a thought.

There will be 6 seasons in total - the last one being next year. this year we have 17 episodes, and the final 17 next year will finally tie up loose ends.

I agree. I thought that scene was brilliant. Especially as I like Miles. His sense of humour is class.:hihi::hihi:

This series just gets better and better. They [writers] clearly knew what they were doing, as Ben had bullet scars when Jack operated on his back in series 2 (or 3).

Wow, how good was last nights double episode.

****Spoilers Below****

So Locke, is not Locke?? So as its playing out there hinting that its the guy that was sat on the beach with Jacob, but who was he?

Also my theory at the end when she set the nuke off at the swan, is that they will return back to the normal timeline but will still be on the island and remember past occurances. (i'm think this purley because the 1970 storyline has run its course now).

As for the people who crashed on the plane in the present timeline (who carried Lockes body accross to the main island), I think they are possibly some of the first inhabitants of the island, maybe some other, others?? It was definaley no coincidence they new Richard or where Jacobs hut was.

But I have to say, thats been the 2 best episodes of the season.

[EDIT: Looks like the 2 eps were the season finale, funny ep numbers to stop it on]

How come you've seen them? thought they weren't til sunday?

Same as me I guess. No Sky, so have to watch the USA version. :)

I've just watched it....

*spoiler below*

What the ****! :hihi:

Great ending to line up another series. Everything is just about in place now. I got a mixed up when we saw old Bernard + Mrs, I'd forgotten them, I thought that Kate, Sawyer and Blondie had moved back forward into the future .

I'm going to watch it again, to understand the rest of the Ageria flight lot. It gave the impression that they were kind of a new set of people sent together, but after we found out what was in the box, it dismissed that idea, (I think). So much to take in. :hihi:

It was a great finale.

Did anyone else think the flash at the end of the episode wasn't the bomb going off, but a time flash? And now they're back in their own time? I think that's what Jacob was meant when he said ''they're coming''

And I hope that Desmond comes back as a regular next season, he's the 2nd best character (behind Ben of course)

I'm very shallow by the way, my main comment about this series is that Jack doesn't look as hot as usual (though I still would  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:)

I really don't get how they had Lockes body. I was thinking at first that he must have been on the other island to them when the plane crashed (therefore making him there 'twice'), but when the plane landed, Locke was with them on the same island. So...I'm confused!

Anyway, fantastic season finale! This series has been really great, and has actually given answers for once (it's about time too, it's been going for 4 years!)

you can generally download them via torrents or newsgroups the night after it airs. (LOST airs in the US on a Wednesday night)

Edit: Correction - ABC has now changed the show to air Thursday nights for the 2010 season.

Fab finale. Had to look online for translation of the statue answer though :( Can't wait for next season to see when and where they end up, and what they were looking for candidates for

Hi - does anyone have series 2 downloaded or know where I can download it from? Got all the others - just can't get season 2. I want to watch them all again (mamouth task, I know!) but I may be able to understand it better if I watch them back-to-back.
Thanks!
