Is anyone else having problems with BTOpenzone? I switch my laptop on and it connects to BT Openzone ignoring my network, I have to disconnect it about 3 times before I can get onto my network, I have unticked all the boxes for connections hoping it would not connect but it still connects even though my network is set as the preferred network. I am running Vista Home Premium, and have Orange Broadband has anyone got any ideas how to stop this happening?

I have this problem with my android phone, it's incredibly frustrating. When I switch to Wi-Fi, it connects to stoopid BT Openzone (which I can't use) and ignores my home router. This in effect is blocking me from using Wi-Fi at home. Does anyone know if you can prevent this?

Do the following:

Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wi-Fi Settings > Find the openzone in the list of available networks > press and hold until a dialog appears and select 'Forget Network'

Then press on your own network and select connect.

Thanks for that! Will it be a permanent solution or does it have to be repeated each time you connect?

Permanant so long as you don't manually connect it to another openzone connection.

If you do then you'll need to repeat the process.
