Then we went for a meal at night. LornaF 07-01-2009, 20:34 We had a naming ceremony, loads of family and friends round. Had it at home to save on costs and make it more comfortable. I even cooked a whole salmon for the occaision!! My cousin sang a special version of 'amazing grace', (DD middle name is grace) which had the oldies in tears. SpeedDemon 07-01-2009, 21:17 family party (BBQ for the summer babies) at home :) Always works well, baby usually ends up tired and can go for a sleep if they're at home, while everyone else carries on enjoying themselves savbaby 07-01-2009, 21:21 fisrt birthday she had at nursery with a cake, when home another cake and a couple of my friends. nothing much really! anniec 08-01-2009, 12:37 For Reise's 1st brithday we had a party at home then a trip to the play centre round the corner. I wish we hadn't started at home lol. For Scarlett's 1st birthday we're planning a play centre I think. lauren84 10-01-2009, 14:24 We are planning a family 'drop in' with snacks on the sunday afternoon then we will travel to Chester in the evening after bath etc and stay overnight in a travel lodge or something. Then his birthday (monday) we are going to Chester Zoo. He is fascinated with animals - real life or on TV! duckweed 10-01-2009, 16:11 I think it has to be low key at that age. It's more about the adults than the child till the child is 3. I have vivid memories of my middle child falling asleep in the jelly and he never saw his birthday cake. make a cake get some nibbles for the adults and have a good old fashioned natter. Meanwhile your child will either be playing with the packaging or asleep in the jelly' charlie9865 11-01-2009, 13:35 Evie had a princess party and a princess she looked in her pretty dress. ahhh still cant believe she is 1 whitewitch 13-01-2009, 22:13 I just had a family party at home for her :) |
