Now I'm sure that someone will spoil my thunder by saying that everyone of their cats has done this, but I still think its awesome and a fab (if not entirely bizarre) way to start the New Year.

I was walking into the bathroom this morning when I saw my cat Nancy (rescue kitten from RSPCA, now about a year old) sitting on the toilet. Fair enough, I thought but as I got closer I realised that she was actually squattng on the toilet and having a wee in the toilet.

Now I've heard of cats being trained to do this but she has just taken this up on her own. So cool. I am sorry and I realise that I am a complete saddo for finding this at all exciting but there you go!

For anyone who knows Nancy this may not be a complete suprise, for this is the cat who eats dog bones, slaps the dogs, picks out cakes from wrappers and then passes them down to the dogs, etc etc.

She is fabulous!

Oh and Happy New Year, I'm going to go to sleep now!

Well, she's oriental and tortie, if any of your mob were going to work out how to it, it would be her!

I'll be really impressed if she can teach the dogs to do it ;)

Wow what a clever puster. My neighbour has trained hers to do it, maybe one of mine is a possibility:suspect: The other one is too fat, old and lazy for them shenanigans.:D

My old cat Trixie used to do this too, she also used to wee in the drains outside and on the grass verge like a dog, she could knock on the knocker to come in, and open the door if it wasn't locked...she was fantastic, I never learned her any of it she just knew!

I love Nancy she is a gorgeous girl

I think that cat's are vastly understated......and it suits them to have us think them less able :hihi:

Our Barney is clever too. He waits until we are out of the room before he sprays up the curtains, furniture, xmas tree, clean bedding, clean washing, etc etc! x
