I have a 12 hands - ish section b pony, which needs a rider.
We brought him up ourselves and he is proving a real star. Very confident, loaded into a horsebox first time without hesitation, lead reins, long-lines and lunges obediently but is forward going, took him round our Xcountry (not the jumps) on a lead rein and he did a lovely polite little canter the whole way and popped the ditch rather than stepping over it. He never pulls or barges, will live in or out, with any other horses or ponies, safe with dentist, farrier, vet, never been clipped.
Has had a saddle on and been sat on, apart from being a bit surprised by the saddle at first (we did get a bit of a bronc but he settled down nicely once he knew it was staying put) he has worked very nicely so far.
Does anyone know a competent, sensitive small rider looking for a really good little pony-club/competition pony? He will need schooling up under saddle but he is absolutely wasted with us and would make such a fun friend for someone's child.
He must stay either on the yard he is on now (Pennine Equine@finkle street) or within 30 minutes drive if we approve the yard. May sell to the right home, but must be sure he wont end up getting passed onto dealers.
Please pm me any details.
