Well after a lot of research and thinking, I have another Schnauzer. Her name is Gizmo, she is 13 weeks old.

We did the preparation work - she had already met Maisey and her house and brought with her a blanket that smelled of mum - and it seems to have paid off. They got a chew ear each, at frist Maisey took both but within half an hour she brought one to Gizmo, and they have been eating out of the same bowl (yes she's on puppy food but try telling her that!). Maisey does seem to like the fact she can't get on the chair with her yet though.

I managed to get her into the vets today, so she has had jab 1 and her chip.

I have the rest of the week off and then will be taking long lunches so she isn't in too long.

I will be posting pics as soon as I have some.

Aww Angellic I have to confess she's not a rescue. :(

SpeedDemon she's not related to Maisey but thankfully I think her mothering instinct returned. She's been quite tolerant with her toys so far, every now and again she goes and pinches them back but then Gizmo goes for another.

Yes, that had crossed my mind :) She will be carried around the park to get her started but she should be ready for socialising at the beginning of February.

Lotti's classes and a change of diet have completely transformed Maisey. She has really chilled out, getting a puppy 6 months ago could have been WW3.

Well, so far so good.... there's been one or two 'power struggles' but nothing I didn't expect. They curl up together on the sofa and bed, and I've even seen Gizmo grooming maisey :D

House training is going OK. still plenty of accidents but whenever I come back to the house she goes straight into the yard and wees so that's a brilliant start in my book. It will be easier when she can go out on walks.

She's getting braver and more adventurous by the day, I think its safe to say she's settled in :)

I will stop being useless and post some cute photos soon.

Awwww, I'm so glad to hear alls going well. I can't tell you how jealous I am! Yes we need cute pics, well I do anyway! Until I can meet her in person that is. I can just imagine Maisey being a proper little mother to her.

I'm not sure if mother's the right term, older sibling that's not sure what to make of their baby sister maybe. She's still got a few places that Giz can't reach, so she's happy. She's a good vocal coach, first Evie and now Gizmo ;)

Injection 2 on Tuesday so she'll be out and about soon.
