Earlier on this year I came up with a thing called a half birthday, you see my birthday's in Jan (ie right after christmas!) and I get no other presents for the rest of the year which is a right swizz - so the result was the invention of the half birthday.
It's only me and my other half who buy for each other but it's quite a good excuse to buy silly presents for each other and also more gifts to unwrap!

I nominated to have my half birthday about now as it's the mid point between xmas/birthday. I got given a Yoda pen and a small toy dog which I have named Bonzo who now sits on my monitor.

So here you go people - I give you your half birthdays, pick a date and celebrate your half birthday when you like. More presents can only be a good thing!

More merry foolishness bought to you by Swan Vesta industries.

My birthday is in the perfect place, July 4th. So I only have to wait half a year for more presents.

(I must be famous in America because they all throw a BIG party on my birthday :) )

Ahhh the half birthday rule must only apply to those of us born around xmas time (which as a kid I was really ungratful when people doubled up my xmas and birthday pressies). I see no reason why quarter birthday shouldn't be allowed as long as they are half as good as half birthdays :hihi:

I too started half-birthdays a couple of years back for the same reason, my half-birthday co-incides with the Farmyard bike rally next week.......

I am so lucky having mine in July, and agree that christmas time babies can have a half birthday. My niece was born on christmas day and it's a bit of a nusence for her and us to make sure she gets a distinct birthday tea and turkey too. I think that they have invented a half birthday for her..

My dad and lots of his family were born on or about chrismas day and it's so hard to have enthusiasm for these extra parties/presents when you don't feel like eating or drinking anymore and all the best stuff and food happens at christmas.

My husbands birthday if xmas eve and mine is valentines day, so there is no chance of either of us having a romantic birthday meal, I think we shall have to have half birthdays too.

Mine is Christmas Eve, so I think that a half-birthday is in order, effective immediately :)

Could have been worse; if I was born 2 hours and 9 minutes later ....

My birthday is on March 25th, so I could buy really cheap advent calendars after Christmas and count down the days to my day of birth :P
