Roller Derby is spreading like wild fire across the UK and we have set up a team here in Sheffield! Anyone is welcome join, the only requirements are you must be over 18 and female. So if you're looking to meet new people, get fit, let out some aggression and have an awesome time please get in touch. Dont worry about if you havent skated before, we can help you learn.

Sheffield Roller Derby Needs You!

We practice every sunday at 3pm at Graves leisure center , bochum parkway, sheffield. anyone is welcome to come along to see what we do. if you want to join in on sunday practice , you will need your own roller skates (not blades) elbow and knee pads, wrist guards, helmet and mouth guard. we have some spare skates and pads so jus tlet us know what size you are and we may have a pair in your size.

We also practice every tuesday 6pm at skate central on queens road. this session costs £3 includes skate hire. pads not a requirement for this one.

To play roller derby you need to be female, but we also need coaches and refs so guys are more than welcome to come and be part of this fantastic sport, what guy wouldn't wanna boss a group of girls in short skirts and roller skates around

Wow this looks so much fun! Don't suppose you know if there are buses from Sheffield uni area to there? i can't find much. x

yo prob best walking, unlikely to be one bus from Uni to Queens road.

It would be more timeconsuming catching 2 buses anyway

if you need a lift on a sunday that can be arranged x

Just wanted to say, I've been going to the Roller Derby for about 4 weeks now and am absolutely loving it. Its a fantastic work out, a lot better than any Gym, and A great set of ladies who are very friendly and welcoming.

Even if you have never skated before (I hadn't) you'll soon pick it up and have a blast.

Thanks for the reply, I've looked at the website - i never knew this sport existed! It sounds good - If its okay i'll come along on thursday to have a look. But i haven't skated since i was about 10!

thats fine, you'll pick it up in no time!!!!! i only started about 8 months ago and i had never skated before in my life, and not i cant get enough of it! youll have to much fun! what size shoe are you? im sure we'll have a spare pair in your size so you can have a go an thursday :) look forward to meeting you! x
