I am trying to copy images (Jpegs) from CD to my new external hard disk. 99% of them copy ok, but then every occasional image I get a really frustrating message saying "cannot copy [image name] invalid MS Dos function. WTF? I am just trying to copy folders of files in Windows XP pro. Any help from anyone? The files don't seem to be corrupted as I can still open them from the cd.

Try renaming the file that wont copy first, or try opening it in photoshop or whatever and saving it as something else. Might work.
