There is a Top Tread in Sheffield too which should be more convenient. St Mary's Gate way, next to the car dealersip on the one way system.

Used them when mine was due and was very impressed. Course, it helped that it passed first time!

just had mine done at the MOT Centre in Heeley. £42. Brilliant service too, friendly lads working there, very helpful, and they let me watch the whole process. (which i don't recommend, it's like waiting for exam results)

seeing as my last mot was £600 i'd say £42 wasn't bad..

and £42 being standard MOT rate (according to the Motor Vehicle Inspectorate), plus them having done a little bit of work for me, it fits there.
plus i don't mind paying for good service.

Ernest thorpes, thurgoland, £20. You have to bare in mind that thats just for the initial test as i don't think he does any mechanical work etc...... Sound guy, no problems, and thats quite competitive!

Just park up in the queue and wait :D

£20 is much more like it, now that is what I call cheap. ;)

Perhaps try Champion & Emmett - behind the laundrette on Sharrow, near the Lescar pub. I think £20 for MOT - plus, of course any work needed.

I'd suggest DOT MOT. It's £42 but they dont do repair work so have nothing to gain by failing your car.

Anyone who tends to charge less does repair work so beware
