I personally think its quite comical but with exams finishing they are everywhere:)

There are still drunk students in sheff??

Where are they? I feel all alone, most of them have gone home and i've had to start drinking alone, in my house, in my pjs, in the middle of the day because i miss them so much

I believe Sheff Uni have only just finished their exams this week.

Oh i see! I try not to venture to that side of town being the mere i-don't-go-to-a-proper-uni student that i am

They finish on Friday at Sheff Uni, although most of them are already done.
We have a grading on Sat in Leeds, last of the academic year, then down to 1's/week training until September.

Yeah I work ay Hallam and most have gone home now makes for a very quiet and boring summer at work!!! where do people go over the summer for their week night drinking - just seems that sheffield dies till the weekend comes around again?

no one but students do week night drinking, and the ones that have come back to sheffield for the summer probably have no money and aren't in the city centre.

i like weeknight drinking, i have money and i'm in the city centre so watch out sheffield!

I do agree that it's nice and lively with all the students here, but I also love the long quiet summers ... all the bars turn down their music and there are no queues and free sofas... bliss.

*Sigh* I will be one of those drunk students tomorow after my last exam :(

I like the summer in shef too, it is much nicer when the bulk of people go home. Its always a bit of a shock to the system when everyone comes back!

For those of us that have to work for a living its nice to be drunk in the middle of the day sometimes!

I have to admit to stumbling in front of the odd car now and again but I think I would probably be doing that anyway :hihi:

it gets pretty depressing round Broomhill, Crookes and Walkley in summer. Its a lot quieter and there is a lot less energy about (and pretty ladies:heyhey: )

you also notice the less savory people who are around as they aren't diluted by the students anymore.

But there must be much less vomit on the pavement as you do your rounds?

It is nice to have things abit quieter thats true but apart from working I run/play at a couple of nights and I'm fearin for their survival over the summer - where do you lot normally go drinking in the week; town centre or do you go local style?? keep it real cherrynicole weekday drinkin should never die!!!

I shall be joining the ranks of drunk students later- handed in my last EVER essay today- luckily West St is a short crawl to home...
